This move by a DEMOCRATIC President will not go down well with some of the trade unions that backed Biden in 2020, if he decides to run he might have to rebuild his relationship with the LABOUR movement in the US.  It should be noted that when the Air Traffic Controllers went on strike in the 1980s, President Reagan gave them a date to return to work or they were fired, when the day came, those that didn't give up the strike were fired by Presidential Decree.   This might look like a small issue, but the events got the attention of the Kremlin, they saw Reagan was tough and would follow through.  Of course Biden cannot fire all the train workers who want to go on strike, it would take time to train new people, also he has to look at 2024 and also he cannot look weak to Putin, let's be honest no one has really called Biden OUT YET, this blog is waiting for North Korea to have another nuclear test, or Iran to declare it has the bomb, or for Putin to use a dirty bomb in the Ukraine or some other violent action that would require Biden to act.  One does really wonder what Ronald Reagan would make of Biden, in his diaries Reagan had not time for Biden and called him demagogue, let's see how Biden gets out of this domestic threat to the economy.

Thus " President " Manchin has ended the Biden domestic agenda on the HILL, the Senator has been very CLEAR over the holiday period, he has had enough of talking about BBB, its dead as a dodo.  The Biden Oval has shown that it is no FDR with the New Deal, or LBJ with the Great Society or Ronald Reagan with his tax cuts or Bill Clinton with the boom years of the late 1990s.  The Biden Oval should look to refresh his domestic agenda staff, they have let him down, they pushed the Senator to his wits end, they didn't get the fact that the Senate is 50/50, this is not like the large majorities that FDR or LBJ had, also Biden cannot cut it on the Hill.  One does hope that Biden does a  better job in foreign affairs, for the sake of us all.

This is a very BAD IDEA by the Democratic Leaders of the US Senate, if you force Manchin to vote NO on numerous times just to appease the Democratic Base, he could just leave and join the Republicans, he would get a better reception and would treat the Democrats a lesson, never appease a extreme base, the Twitter World is not the universe of REAL VOTERS, its just people listening to other people agree with them, and in this case it is true, the LIBERALS in the Democratic Party CANNOT count, well give the American Education System that is a shock, Manchin allows the Democrats to control the US Senate and get their nominees through from Judges to Cabinet appointments and other posts, without Manchin they would NOT have that power.  As a canny operator, Manchin has give the Biden OVAL a OUT, he stated that it was the White House Staff who were out of order, and the White House after its ill tempered statement is trying to roll back the attack of the White House, the problem is that the liberal elite media, think that AOC and her Squad are the real leaders of the Democratic Party and Nancy Pelosi the House Speaker has lost the ability to count, how many times can see get her moderates to pass things if he only dies in the Senate, the Democrats only have a 3 to 4 seat majority in the House, those members will be looking at re-election next year, they do not want to be seen as trench Fodder for LIBERL DEMORATS from safe seats.  It is time the moderates in the House and Senate drew in their leadership, the main message should be, TIME TO PLAY NICE with Manchin, we need him MORE that he needs us.

FDR and LBJ will be turning in their graves, Biden was trying even what they never pushed for, welfare from birth to death, the mistake Biden did was not understand or could not recall that FDR and LBJ had big majorities in the House and Senate and LBJ only got his civil rights bill passed with the HELP of Republicans as the Democratic Party then had right wing Democrats as part of its majority.   It has been interesting to watch CNN this morning, they had every LIBERAL on, these Liberals cannot count either, the Democratic Leadership should go to Senator Manchin and tell him to write up a bill, that he likes and support, and also get some moderate Republicans in to the talks, one could see Senator Romney might vote for it, if he can fine tune it, and there might be others, you have to ask people for their vote, not assume its not there or it will be a NO.  The Elite Media Press will want the Biden White House to make life hard for Manchin, let's recall the Democrats only have the majority with Manchin, without Manchin its OVER.  Liberals needs to learn to COUNT.

One hopes this was done by the Press Secretary and not the Oval, as a Senator for decades Biden must know that he could lose Manchin to the Republicans and then he loses the US Senate, one does not mend bridges or try to get someone to change their mind if you are calling their word no good and a liar.  The Biden Oval should put out another statement, saying the Press Secretary had gone rogue and this was not the view of Biden Oval.  Otherwise Manchin could be a pain in the arse for Biden and other policies.  One has to say that Manchin has been very true to his word, he has never liked the BBB, and he has had regular meetings with POTUS, at the end of the day he went on FOX NEWS, this is a DIRECT MESSAGE to the Biden Oval, try something else!  One can say LBJ and Reagan would have done a better job, so far Biden does not look great and is nowhere near a good or great President as were LBJ on the domestic front, also Reagan.  Also Reagan could keep his troops in line, Biden one presumes has known Manchin for Years, is he that bad at reading people.  To clear the above he needs a new Press Secretary.

In less Senator Manchin has a conversion in the Christmas Period a MAJOR PART of the Biden is DEAD ON THE HILL.   The Biden package was to much for Manchin, he comes from a STATE that voted by 40% for Trump, I know how I would vote in such a case. CNN had that old Socialist Senator Sanders on, it would be fun to see a Vermont Liberal go to WEST VIRGINA, you would be need the national  guard around him to prevent the eggs being thrown at him!!  Lets recall Senator Sanders on his honeymoon took his new bride to the USSR, he has never come back, that is the OLD JOKE.  One can cannot even call Sanders a Democrat, he has never joined the Democrats, he has moved the Democratic Party to the LEFT, the same path as the House Squad, that should tell you enough about his direction.  The last face the Democrats would want on this issue is his, but then its CNN, they LOST THE PLOT some time ago, it will be interesting how they spin this, and they will spin it, the Party line will be that the US has low unemployment, not seen in 40 years, and Biden passed a infrastructure bill, something the last few Presidents have not done.  But what worries the voter, 1. PANDEMIC, 2. inflation, that hurts in the pocket book.   This is WHY Presidents move to foreign policy, they have more freedom, time for Biden to be TOUGH with Putin of Russia and Iran.

POTUS was elected on the argument that he could get things done on the Hill, to say that he has not be stellar would be an understatement , he was in the Senate for decades, one would think that he would have developed relationships and friendships that would have gotten his domestic agenda through.  Thus far he is no FDR or LBJ or even Reagan on the Republican side.  There must be something that Manchin wants, or at least needs.  If the Senator at his core does not agree with the Bill, then he should just say so, otherwise these talks are going nowhere fast.  The Republicans must be laughing their backsides off, there is nothing more fun than watching Democrats taking political shots at each other, either the Democrats can govern or they will be out in the 2022 Mid Terms. If that happens Biden will not run in 2024, there will be no base to support him running from the White House bunker. 

Health Secretary Daschle

BBC News: Reports that Ex - Senator from South Dakota, Tome Daschle will be the Health Secretary in the Obama Administration. This works on two levels, if Senator Clinton cant be Secretary of State due to the business dealings of Bill Clinton it prevents her becoming Health Secretary. Also Senator Daschle is a former Majority Leader in the Senate, in other words he can help the President get his health reform through. Also nice not to have another Clinton on board, it was getting a bit old.
