It would be interesting to see if China takes a side in the Russian - Ukraine War, they have their own aims, the  retaking of Taiwan within this decade, the two Autocrat States have a bond by their autocracy, China could help Russia with military forces, one doubts that they would want to send their own troops to fight in the Ukraine after the mess that Russia has made of the invasion.  They could support Russia with money and allow it to use the China way to break sanctions, make orders for Western defence kit for China and then move it across the border to Russia.  This would make the WEST very concerned, it would be then forced to place sanctions on China, one assumes POTUS has already warned China about this, it would be a surprise if China played an active role, passive as stated above could be their support.  A passive China that was favourable to Russia would help Putin.

This is NATO showing its teeth to the Russians, its a warning, that any direct threat to NATO States close to Russia would invoke Article, an attack on one is an attack on all, and there are 30 States in NATO.  The Russians are digging in for the long haul, they are trying without much success to surround KYIV, and have done so many other CITIES in the Ukraine.  The poor City of Mariupol has become the symbol of the WAR, it has been destroyed and there are a few hundred thousand people still there, the Russians have demand that it surrenders, the KYIV Government has said NO.  The Russians have bombed a children's and maternity Hospital, also a theatre that was holding around 1,300 people underground, we still don't know how many lived, as the Russians are preventing any help getting there, also they are preventing supplies to get to the people.   The Russians are using barbaric weapons in this WAR, they are WAR CRIMINIALS, and the top WAR CRIMINAL is President Putin of Russia.

This should be a RED LINE for POTUS, he saw  how his former boss, President Obama failed to follow through with his red line in Syria, people after that were not afraid of Obama, once a President says something is a red line he has to follow through, problem with Obama he never go over his own ego, one hopes Biden gets something right on foreign policy after forty years.  The thought that Putin might be minded to use chemical or biological weapons in the HEART o Europe should worry the US and the Western Europe.  One can image the images, they would shock the WORLD, and if Biden did nothing would harm his reputation and the Democrats chances in the November Mid Terms.  The Biden Oval has to be very clear with the Kremlin, any use of chemical or biological weapons gets the US in to Ukraine, starting with a no fly zone.  The origins of WW3, shall see.

The above are FINE WORDS, but words at the end of the day, there comes a time when you have to walk the walk, and DO SOMETHING, the KYIV Government has been asking for a NO FLY ZONE since the start of the WAR, it is about time POTUS changed his mind on the subject, people are getting killed every day in the Ukraine and the WEST DOES NOTHING, yes the West is arming the Army of the Ukraine, but sometimes have to take on the role yourself, the Ukraine Army is fighting for the Ukraine and the West, the WEST cannot avoid a conflict with Putin, the same as the West faced in 1939.  Sometimes in life or a history of a State, events just happen, and you have to deal with the consequences, the US needs a new FDR if Biden wont play that role, and the UK needs a Churchill, in fact the entire world needs a CHURCHILL, that is the only way to stop the Russians.   That sentiment,  Sir Winston would have understood.

Has President Putin finally LOST the plot, of course today in the modern world there is no need for Ambassadors as such, there is always the mobile ( cell  for Americans ), Text, Email, Facetime etc.  So if Putin did need to speak on a urgent matter with POTUS he can always do the above.  It would be a major symbolic moment, without the US in Russia the World would see that Russia was the top rogue nation, followed by North Korea and Iran.  One can speculate that this is what Putin want, to isolate Russia, but even during the COLD WAR there was always an Ambassador in each others Country, if nothing else it allowed the KGB and CIA to place their own agents in the field and to butter up those that wanted to LEAK information.  The US State Department will not be happy, they are a Island on to themselves, no one with a brain in the UK trusts the FCO, far to0 appeaser and for the other side, as for the EU not BREXIT.

There is street to street, door to door fighting in MARIUPOL, as reported that Russian tried to get the CITY in 2014 but failed, thus this brutal destruction of the city is revenge, Putin is former KGB let's recall.  There is NATO meeting on Thursday to discuss the Ukrainian crisis, the WEST must do more, it must increase sanctions, stop ALL Russian trade, the Russia economy is in the toilet, well its time to flush it down to the sewer, the ELITES that are friends of Putin should place pressure on him, or overthrow him, Russia needs a new leader, Putin has failed as Tsar Nicholas 11 failed with Port Arthur in Manchuria at the start of the 20th Century, that lead to the 1905 Russian revolution that was stopped by the Imperial Regime granting limited reforms, such as a DUMA, the Russian people need their democracy back before its to late.

The Russians are playing games, they are trying to divert attention of the WESTERN MEDIA, already you are hearing talk from the media that would have expected during 1938/39 and the era of appeasement, that only peace talks can end the the Ukraine WAR, that is BS, winning a war means WINNING, not going SOFT on the issues, the Ukraine state cannot be carved up, to be honest the CRIMEA is gone, if this blog can recall it was only given the Ukraine in 1954, let's recall we had a WAR with Russia in the Crimea IN the 19th Century.  The poor people of the Ukraine have to fight for every inch of the Country, that is why the KYIV Government turned down the surrender of Mariupol demand by the Russians, the people of the Ukraine are fighting for their Country and for the West.  Putin must lose and be seen to LOSE.
