Fox News: Reports " President Trump on Monday accused the Department of Justice and FBI under former President Barack Obama of launching an investigation into his campaign in an effort to “discredit” him and help Democrat Hillary Clinton win the presidency, calling those efforts “unprecedented” and “bigger than Watergate.” "

Lets Get Real:

It can be argued that President Trump has gone around the bend, the Russia investigation is more serious than Watergate, but not as important as Iran - Contra and not as fun as the Bill Clinton case.   The Russians have been successful is causing discord within the US political system, the Democrats smell blood in the water when it comes to Trump, and Trump does not help himself with his constant tweets, his sacking of the FBI Director was a mistake, this allowed the D.C Establishment to go after him, as they have done.   The investigation by the Special Prosecutor so far has not nailed Trump when it comes to the Russians, but the investigation is looking beyond Russia at the moment and looking at the finances of Trump, that might be the IED that takes Trump down.    Will Trump get to 2020 before being forced to resign or impeached.

Lets Get Real:

The problem of the Irish border between the Republic and the North is a serious issue, the DUP will not allow a border in the middle of the Irish Sea, thus giving the symbolic impression that the Island of Ireland is united, while Republic needs there not to be a border between the Republic and Northern Ireland, the solution is simple, a symbolic border is name only, technology should be able to take sure that business can work in the new reality of the UK being out of the EU.    Small business can sign up to a scheme that allows them to cross the border without checks.   The Irish if they want to can set up a border, the UK will not, it depends how stroppy the Irish and the EU want to be when it comes to Brexit.

Guardian: Reports " The Irish prime minister Leo Varadkar has ruled out Ireland holding a specific negotiation with the UK on a solution to the Irish border problem after Brexit.  "

Lets Get Real:

The Republic Ireland is playing silly buggers when it comes to the border between  Northern Ireland and the Republic, a simple answer is to move the UK border to DUBLIN, I am sure the Republic would not mind being a symbolic CROWN area.   It does make sense, this would place the entire Ireland within the Customs Union and under the symbol of the Crown.   After the Good Friday Agreement the troubles are over, the Queen went to visit the Republic, so it would just be symbolic for Ireland to be under the Crown.

The New York Times: Reports on the problems that President Trump has created by placing his daughter and son in law in his administration, the NYT editorial states the following, " One of Mr. Trump’s most disturbing departures from tradition was his appointment of close relatives to positions at the very apex of government power. We are now seeing consequences of that ethical break, as the extraordinary access to government secrets of his son-in-law, Jared Kushner, has finally been constrained by White House officials concerned about his lack of full security clearance.  "

Lets Get Real:

CNN reported on a NYT story that the POTUS wants his Chief of Staff to get rid of his daughter and son and law, as it is causing him problems.   The placing of close family members close to the Oval is not new, Kennedy and Clinton have placed close relatives close to the Oval, in the case of President Kennedy it was placing his brother as Attorney General, and with Bill Clinton it was his wife to fix the US health service.    The problem with such placements is that they have a direct link to the President, total 100% loyalty, and will do what the Presidents wants.   It has been argued that RFK was the best Attorney General and the worse, he supported civil rights but also covered up for his brother and his numerous affairs.   In the case of Hillary Clinton it has been argued that Clinton Oval lost Congress due to the Hillary care in 1994.   Thus what a job Trump's Chief of Staff, how to fire the first daughter and her husband. 

The UK PM on the City and Brexit - Brexit Update 3 - Post Brexit

Lets Get Real:

The City of London will be hit by the UK leaving the EU, some major companies have moved their HQs to EU Countries.    It is about time that the UK developed other industries that will equal the monies made out of the City.   The UK economy will also take a hit, thus as stated the UK Government should invest in other areas, such as technology, the one thing one can say is nothing lasts forever, the day that London is the economic capital of the World might be coming to an end.   It can be argued that the pro remainers in the Conservative Party are right about the importance of the UK staying in the Customs Union and the single market.    One should recall when the UK was the sick man of Europe, history is about ups and downs, to think we had the biggest Empire ever!!

The Customs Union and the House of Commons - Brexit Update 2 - Post Brexit

Mail on Sunday: Reports on the statement by the PM if she loses the Customs Vote in the House of Commons, " Asked if she could stay as PM if she lost the vote, Mrs May replied: 'What we're doing in looking at the customs issue as we go through these various Bills in Parliament is what is the right customs arrangement for the United Kingdom to have with the EU in future that ensures we can have tariff-free and as frictionless trade as possible across the border.'  "

Lets Get Real:

The pro remainers in the Conservative Party have to understand, that they are getting what they want, the UK is leaving the EU in a official manner, but we are keeping the rules, the immigration debate is over, those from the EU that come to the UK after 2019 will have the same rights are before, the UK will still be under the ECJ.   The fact that the Pro remainers have won should worry the hard brexit supporters, they have been sold out, the hard brexit supporters should vote to have a no confidence vote in the PM.   The UK has been sold OUT. 

May's message to the EU - Brexit Update - Post Brexit

BBC News: Reports " Theresa May has urged the EU to get on with discussing her "ambitious but practical" vision for economic relations with the UK after Brexit. "

Lets Get Real:

The question faced by the EU is simple, if they are to easy on the UK then other countries will want to leave the EU, if they are to HARD then the UK will have a HARD Brexit, something neither side want.   The UK in many ways is leaving the EU in  name only, we might be out of the Single Market and the Customs Union but we will still be under the ECJ.   Also some Conservative rebels might vote with Labour to keep the UK in the Customs Union.    Thus far the Conservatives had been united is praise of the May speech, the devil is in the details, how long will peace last.
