Lets Get Real:
The Republic Ireland is playing silly buggers when it comes to the border between Northern Ireland and the Republic, a simple answer is to move the UK border to DUBLIN, I am sure the Republic would not mind being a symbolic CROWN area. It does make sense, this would place the entire Ireland within the Customs Union and under the symbol of the Crown. After the Good Friday Agreement the troubles are over, the Queen went to visit the Republic, so it would just be symbolic for Ireland to be under the Crown.
