Turning the screw on Iran - Middle East/Trump Era

CNN - Politics: Reports " President Donald Trump and his advisers are considering revoking sanctions waivers that have allowed several countries to collaborate with Iran on civil nuclear projects,   "

Lets Get Real:

Iran should not be allowed to get any civil or military nuclear projects, they can not be trusted.  The Trump Administration has ended waivers for those Countries that take oil from IRAN, this will further hurt the economy of the Tehran Regime.   The point of these sanctions is to force IRAN to the table to discuss their terrorist support and their missiles project.  The Tehran Regime has threatened to close the oil route that takes oil to the West, this would be a BIG MISTAKE, the US would then feel free to take military action, the last thing anyone wants.   The US and it's ally Israel are afraid that Iran is developing the bomb and if it gets the bomb it would be a THREAT to the Middle East, the Tehran Government must be bought to talks, and as Churchill stated it is better to talk than war.   One assumes that Israeli intelligence knows what secret projects as being developed by IRAN, the State of Israel has to be protected also the US ally of Saudi Arabia.

Lets Get Real:

As VP, Biden must have a good lot of mobile numbers for the very rich that support Democrats.  Of course as the article notes, he can not be seen as the Establishment rich guy candidate, that would not look good in this left wing field of Candidates.   On the other hand VP Biden needs to hit the ground running, he needs to establish offices in Iowa and New Hampshire and other STATES, this takes MONEY and lot of it, the VP might have no choice but to go the rich.   As the article notes Senator Sanders has collected 24 million since becoming a candidate, thus Biden will need to make appearances in Iowa and New Hampshire in the COLD, the locals like to test out candidates, to see if they can make the cut.  Also lets be honest here, the former VP is OLD, as is Sanders, can they cut it when it comes to a year long campaign, it is a valid question.   Also candidates such as Mayor Pete, Beto and Senator Harris can be seen as the future of the Democratic Party, how long before they take a critical look at Candidate Biden, his past mistake will be bought up, he was against busing ( 1970s. the moving of black kids to majority white schools and the other way around ), also he was for a tough crime bill in the 1990s, this affected African - Americans in the main. Also he supported the War in Iraq, as did HRC, there are bound to be other issues, also Biden has a foot in mouth nature, he will say something that will offend, give it time.   There is no guarantee that Biden will get the nomination, he time might have been 2016, the same case can be made for Senator Warren.  The future might be with the youthful candidates in the Democratic Party.

Lets Get Real:

The early stages of the Biden Campaign has not been that great, he got the nickname " Creepy " for his touch feely moments on the campaign, he has had to say sorry for his past policy stands and votes.   It is reported that Biden will run as a Obama/Biden candidate, whatever that means, the Democratic Party has moved on and gone to the left under the influence of Senators Sanders and Warren, will the very liberal base support the more centre ground of VP Biden.   In the early State polls Biden was leading, in a recent NH poll Biden was behind Senators Sanders, and let's recall Sanders gave HRC a tough fight for the Democratic nomination in 2016, he should have learned from his mistakes.   One can argue he has not, he has stated that those in Jail should get the vote, this was opposed by Mayor Pete, it will be interesting to see Biden who supported a tough crime bill in the 1990s comes out on the issue.   The former VP is held in great affection by the Dems, the question is, what happens when the other candidates come for him over his past policy stands.   Getting the Democratic nomination will be those that know to fight and get the nomination and will be able to move to the Centre for the General Election.

Well Easter is over and the MPs are back after their recess.  Thus we are back to BREXIT.  The PM needs a DEAL with Labour, the general commentary is that neither side really want a deal, they just do not want to be the side that end the talks.  Thus if these talks fail the PM could bring the issue back to the House of Commons for indicative and binding votes, to see what the House of Commons will support.   The PM also face County elections and the EU elections, these are looking like a DISASTER in the making, the PM has very few allies and could face the CHOP sooner than she expects.   The Conservatives are rather good at dethroning PM's, they make Games of Thrones look like a tea party when it comes to being ruthless, even the great Lady T was pushed out at the end by her CABINET, and she was the greatest PM since Churchill.

It could be Senator Bernie Sanders year, he came close to beating HRC in 2016, and the Democrats are seeking someone who is very liberal, well he is a Democratic Socialist, also on the monies front he is leading the other candidates.   The question is can he beat POTUS in a general election, the answer is NO, the fly over States are never going to elect a Socialist, there was a good joke in 2016, Sanders went to the USSR for his honeymoon and never came back, it is a good joke because its hurts and accurate.   One can Conservative Democrats in BLUE State not been that keen to vote for Sanders, either voting for someone else or not voting.  One can be sure that President Trump hopes that Sanders is the Nominee, he will paint the Senator as a Marxist, very much like Jeremy Corbyn in the UK.  Of course VP Biden is yet to enter the race, the polls will change when Joe Biden makes it official.   Iowa and New Hampshire always important, will be more important, in cutting down the field.  When Biden enters the race there will be 20 Candidates for the Democratic nominee.  This could help Sanders, he just has to win, not big, but enough to get close to the nomination number.   The Democratic delegates have to vote for their candidate in the first round of ballots, but in the 2nd they are free to go for who they think can win, Biden could win that way.   Biden could be a real threat to Trump, but are Democrats clever enough to chose him, the candidates will have to get the political knifes out just to shine in the pack of candidates.  The race could go all the way to the convention, that would be good TV if not good for the Democrats.  How about Mayor Pete as the nominee and Sanders for VP, not as foolish as it sounds, it could happen.

A Century ago, well it seems like that, Beto was the golden boy, the man to take on POTUS, well he seems to have dropped to POLITICAL EARTH.  The fresh face and with a good war record is Mayor Pete, he also happens to be gay, that works in the Democratic field.  The Democrats could have the first openly married gay as their candidate.  On the plus side, Mayor Pete has managed a big enough town, thus has management experience, he has served in Afghanistan, and comes across as clever without being cocky.   The downside is the fact that he talking liberal talking points, wants to get rid of the electoral college etc.  The UK Guardian had scathing article about him, in essence the charge that was thrown at Gary Hart in 1988, Where is the beef?, the the Guardian article suggested he was a empty suit with no firm ideas.   In essence he does not pass the liberal purity test, liberal since birth.   It is expected that former Vice - President Joe Biden will get in to the race on Wednesday, it is about time, Sanders is starting to look like the leading candidate, he leads in the polls. Biden will have to hit the ground running, he needs to spend a lot of time in Iowa and New Hampshire, being a former VP does not cut it, he has to re-sell his brand name, and move the political talk to the centre, he has to make it clear if Sanders is the nominee then Democrats will lose in 2020, no way in God's earth will the US vote for a Democratic Socialist in 2020.  It would be another four years of Trump. 

Impeachment, The Democratic Base vs. The Leadership - Election 2020

Lets Get Real:

CNN has been pushing impeachment since the Mueller Report came it, the problem is that voters on the whole seem disinterested, you have the fanatical liberals who just want to impeach, the wiser heads the LEADERSHIP establishment know what happened to the Republicans when they impeached Bill Clinton 1998, they lost seats in the Mid Terms of that year.  Speaker Pelosi after getting her old job back does not want to lose it because some political fanatics just want political porn, the House with a Democratic majority could impeach, the question is will a new members from Conservative States support the move, could it lead to a split within the Democratic Party.   If the Democrats do impeach, it could be a bonus for POTUS, he could argue that the Mueller Report and the US Attorney General found his innocent of collusion and obstruction of justice and that liberals have gone more unhinged after that.   Even if the House does pass Articles of Impeachment, the Senate will say NO, then POTUS will be found innocent.   Then Trump will tarnish those Democrats running for President who support the move. This could lead to the Republicanas retaking the House and keeping the Oval Office.  ARE THE DEMOCRATS THAT STUPID.
