Lets Get Real:

Ever since 9/11 and the invasion of Iraq there has been an increase in Western security, the question that has to be asked, what if the terrorists got their hands on WMD, does any one think they would not use them, the World, and that includes the Russians need to increase the pressure on terrorists from the Middle East.  The security services of the West have been successful in blocking terror plans of the Middle East terrorists, but they can not be a 100% successful, thus today.    The liberal elite in the West has to get its head around the fact that the West will only be secure when Middle East terror groups like, Al Qaeda, IS are finished, the West has to be ruthless, it has to win.    The price for failure was paid today in Paris.

Lets Get Real:

The above is one of the reasons that either Al Qaeda or IS have to be destroyed, they use religion as a reason for mass murder, 9/11, 7/7 and many others.   The evil that has its roots in the Middle East has to be removed and thrown in the bin like the rubbish it is, Islam like the other great religions can produce evil supporters, its not the fault of the religion, its the evil in the minds of men.   The West has been at fault, it so afraid of being called racist that it has allowed Islam to be miss used as a way to attack the West.   The evil terrorists should be caught and thrown in to the darkest cell and the key thrown away, I guess we would  have to feed them, that is the difference, acts like 9/11 and 7/7 make those of a tolerant view point go to support those that will use extreme methods to fight back, torture works, it was used by the CIA against terrorist and it helped prevent other attacks.   Liberal thought has to be defend, what ever the cost to the soul.

ALL LIBERAL THINKERS ARE, I am Charlie, the written word can never be taken down as long as we fight evil with words and humour.  Our thoughts are with the families of those killed today in Paris.   Terrorism only wins when Western Liberal thought is not brave to poke fun at anything, then we might as well live under FEAR, this will never happen in the US, UK and France. 

The Republicans in Control of Congress Today - 2nd Term Blues

This is the time for the Republicans to show that they can LEAD and are a safe pair of hands, they should not give any gifts to the Democrats.    The 1st thing out of the gates should be the Keystone XL pipeline, make the Democrats and the Oval Office kill off a job creation plan.  If the Oval does Veto make the Democrats in the Senate and House vote to support the veto.  These are the kind of issues to stuff down the throat of Democrats.   When it comes to ObamaCare, the Republicans should destroy it from within, a bit a the time, keep it alive as it gives votes to Republicans votes, it should be a great shark, eating ObamaCare while it breathes.   Politics can be fun. 

The Economic Market and Oil

The New York Times: Reports on the recent 330+ dive in the US Stock Market, the article notes the following reasons, " Oil prices tumbled below $50 a barrel on Monday, spooking global financial markets....Worries about Greece’s ability to stay in the eurozone have reasserted themselves in recent days, for instance. The dollar continued its surge against the euro on Monday. "

Lets Get Real:

There is a glut of oil, thus prices will fall, the old producers of oil from the Middle East can not afford to cut back as they will lose their market share, as noted in the article there are other gas providers that can cover any space in the market.   What is also noted is that Greece is back on the table, there is a snap General Election this month, the left wing Party is expected to win, the Party has stated that it wants better terms from the EU, the Germans have said NO.  The German tax payer is not going cover to the promises of a left wing Party in Greece.   Thus either the LEFT in Greece fold or Greece is out of the Euro, either by its own choice or thrown out.   The benefit to the West of lower oil prices can be found in the fact that the UK Coalition Government will be heading in to an election with oil prices down.   That always looks good for the voter.   On the international field the low price of oil really hurts Iran and Venezuela, thus they need a deal with the US to get sanctions off, with a Republican Congress the Oval can whistle for any sanctions removed.   It will be interesting to see how the markets react tomorrow, will people still sell shares or start to buy as share prices get lower.

This is what Jeb Bush needs, as long as the Conservative vote in the Republican Primary fight is split among various candidates he can come through in the middle.  That is not to say Huckabee can not win, he is good on TV and is a evangelical conservative, he might even be a good VP to Bush.    This is very early, more candidates the better, looks like an interesting Republican race.   Also it can be expected that Governor Perry of Texas will run, as he has finished his term, also Senator Cruz of Texas.  Senator Paul the Republican has a problem, he can't run for re-election and run for the President in his home State.   There are many more candidates but the above are the front runners. 

IS Update - Iraq - The New War on Terror

Lets Get Real:

This training by the US forces will take time, the very new Iraqi Army has to learn to walk before it can run, there have been reports that the Baghdad Government want to take the fight to Mosul.   As stated by this blog that is not a great idea, as of the moment the new Iraqi Army is getting good PR with its small victories, it can not afford to give that PR value away in a rush to take major towns and cities.   In close combat the Iraqi Army will not have the air support of the US Air Forces, as the Oval Office would not want to see images of innocent people getting killed by US air attacks.   This new war on terror will last in to the next administration, there is no rush, IS can be defeated but it will take time.
