Did Torture WORK after 9/11 - Bush 43 Years

Telegraph: Reports the following from Capital Hill, " 'Torture was not essential to find bin Laden’, US Senate report will find..A still-secret US Senate report into the use of “enhanced interrogations” in the wake of 9/11 will find that torture was not necessary or effective, it has been claimed ".

Lets Get Real:

As the Democrats have a majority on the US Senate Committee it is in their interest to get this out before the 2014 Mid Terms, it will be used to get the base out, make the Bush 43 public enemy No1 for liberals and those on the extreme left.   The question everyone should ask is after 9/11 would you have wanted President Obama charge, Bush 43 prevented further attacks on the US, while President Obama has had the Boston bombings and the deaths in Libya.   The left when it fears election disaster always goes left, the point they fail to get is that torture works, everyone breaks, if you want to be defended you vote Republican, never for A Democrat. 

Obama on D.C Murders - Gun Control

The White House: President Obama on the murders at the Washington Navy Yard, " Before I begin, let me say a few words about the tragedy that's unfolding not far away from here at the Washington Navy Yard.  That's part of why our event today was delayed.

I’ve been briefed by my team on the situation.  We still don’t know all the facts, but we do know that several people have been shot, and some have been killed.  So we are confronting yet another mass shooting -- and today, it happened on a military installation in our nation’s capital. 

It’s a shooting that targeted our military and civilian personnel.  These are men and women who were going to work, doing their job, protecting all of us. They’re patriots, and they know the dangers of serving abroad -- but today, they faced unimaginable violence that they wouldn't have expected here at home. 

So we offer our gratitude to the Navy and local law enforcement, federal authorities, and the doctors who’ve responded with skill and bravery.  I’ve made it clear to my team that I want the investigation to be seamless, so that federal and local authorities are working together.  And as this investigation moves forward, we will do everything in our power to make sure whoever carried out this cowardly act is held responsible.   

In the meantime, we send our thoughts and prayers to all at the Navy Yard who’ve been touched by this tragedy.  We thank them for their service.  We stand with the families of those who’ve been harmed.  They’re going to need our love and support.  And as we learn more about the courageous Americans who died today -- their lives, their families, their patriotism -- we will honor their service to the nation they helped to make great.  And obviously, we're going to be investigating thoroughly what happened, as we do so many of these shootings, sadly, that have happened, and do everything that we can to try to prevent them. ".

Lets Get Real:

Folks even on this very sad day, our thoughts are with the families of those that have lost loved ones, this blog will look at the political implications, if this is a domestic criminal case, and the issue is how the suspects got guns then the Oval should push for extreme gun control, if the Oval can not get the issue off the floor with this kind of case then it NEVER will folks.    On the other hand if the FBI find its a terrorist case, the third after, Libya, Boston the Oval has a problem, it would show that the slogan of the 2012 Obama Campaign, that OBL was dead and that Al Qaeda was finished was a false and miss leading claim, the Republicans would make sure that the issue would never go away, that is Chicago politics at its worse folks.   Lets see what the FBI finds folks. 

US Embassies Threat - 2nd Term Blues

Guardian: Reports the following on the Al Qaeda  terrorist threat to US Embassies, " ..plot against diplomatic posts in the Middle East and other Muslim countries. CBS said the intelligence did not mention a specific location. ".

Lets Get Real:

This could be the Oval and the Intelligence Agencies covering their bases should anything happen,  this does recall the August days before 9/11, there was a Al Qaeda threat but the dots had not been linked, one would hope the FBI and the Homeland Security would make sure that there are no threats to the US mainland, but after the Boston Bombings nothing can be ruled out, there could be another terror cell that is waiting to strike in the US or in the Middle East, Europe, etc, also August could be a false lead, since September 2012 we have seen the attack on the US Consulate and in Boston, the Bush/Obama Administrations have done a very good job of taking down old Al Qaeda, but since then the terrorist network has changed, it has become more of a franchise, and is moving from major hits, such 9/11 to smaller scale attacks, what the terror network has learned is that even a small scale attack can bring a City to a halt, as was the case with Boston, the aim of terrorists is to cause terror, with the modern 24/7 news cycle the terrorists can get a lot of attention from a small scale operation.  Lets hope the Mossad, MI6 and other Intelligence networks are not asleep at the wheel, time for total attention, something could be happening folks.     Thus drones will be needed folks, no matter what Secretary Kerry said to the Government of Pakistan. 

Obama and the NSA - 2nd Term Blues

The New York Times: Reports the following on the defeat of Amash Amendment by the House, " ..the Obama administration a hard-fought victory in the first Congressional showdown on intelligence policy ".

Lets Get Real: 

As the final vote roll calls shows the victory was close folks, the Amendment was defeated by 217 to 205, if the Democrats had been united they could have stopped the NSA spaying on ALL Americans, but former Democratic Speaker Pelosi and the present Republican Speaker and their loyal colleagues supported the NSA.   It was the right move folks, but one knows that if there was  Republican President the Democrats would be one is opposing this move, it just happens that there is a Democratic in the White House, they on the whole they have to support him, but as time goes on the leadership, both Republican and Democrats will find it hard to keep their troops in line when it comes to this issue, time and distance from 9/11 will make people think that a MAJOR threat is no longer possible, while the NSA might prevent MAJOR attacks it did not prevent the Boston Bombing, thus one can argue that national security hawks and who ever is in the Oval will have tougher fights in the future, this is not the end of the debate folks. 

The Clinton Factor - Syrian Civil War - Syrian Update 3

CNN - Politics: Reports on remarks by former President Bill Clinton, the former President stated that the US should be more active in Syria, these remarks were before the latest developments.

Lets Get Real:

Lets be clear folks, Bill Clinton can not stand President Obama, why should he, the 08 Campaign called him a racist, Bill Clinton is a lot of things, but he is no racist, it has been argued that he was in fact was the first Black President, as he understands and enjoys black culture, thus the race card attack must have hurt, also his wife when she become Secretary of State was not part on the Kitchen Cabinet, as Secretary of State Hillary Clinton pressed to Oval to take more forceful action in Syria, she did not get her way.   The latest move by the Oval to support the Syrian rebels is down the ground won by the Assad Regime, and the critical reaction of Western allies to the lack of US action, but it would be interesting know how the Oval reacted to a critic of a policy by a former President, a President  who dealt with Bosnia after years of doing nothing, and was marched in to Kosovo by the UK PM Tony Blair, at least Clinton acted, also the Oval must be afraid that the Clinton Camp will start to take political shots at the Oval as way to distance itself from the Oval should Obama's polls tank over the next three years.   Politics at its heart can be quite personal, does President Obama want to make Clinton the wise old man of US Foreign Policy while he seen as weak, another Carter, one has doubts folks. 

The NSA Debate and the Oval - 2nd Term Blues

Guardian: Reports that the Democratic Senator, " Ron Wyden suggests US intelligence chief James Clapper may have misled him as international pressure builds ".

Lets Get Real:

This is the problem that the Oval find itself, it has stated that the War on Terror is OVER, even after Boston, thus its a fair question, why is the NSA tracking ALL telephone calls of US Citizens, and reading the Internet content of the rest of the World, are we to trust the Oval after the scandal at the IRS, give me a break, you would have to be naive fool to think that the NSA is  not listening to US calls,  of course they are, it is a given, also its the Obama Administration, that great Liberal hope, it makes Richard Nixon look liberal, he did not want to bug everyone, just liberals and the press, well you would, that is a given, that is a joke by the way, since the NSA is of course reading this blog.    This blog has seen the Senate question from above and it has to be stated that James Clapper was either being very economic with the truth, or he can not hear, is he deaf?, it was  a clear question, and the answer was a LIE, simple as that folks, the Oval should not treat people as fools, that is the greatest insult of ALL. 

Obama on London Terror Attack - 2nd Obama Term

Lets Get Real:

I guess the UK can be contended that President Obama can actually see it was a terrorist act, lets recall when a US Soldier killed fellow soldiers and it was shown it was a terrorist act the Obama Administration called it a work related crime, yes folks, the Oval has a psychological problem is stating when something is a terrorist act, it took a day after the Boston attacks for the Oval to say it was a terrorist act, lets recall in the 2012 Campaign the Oval had run on the message that Al Qaeda was finished, but the Oval has a problem, there as a terrorist attack on the US Consulate in Libya, the Oval and its officials lied to the World and the families of the dead with the message that the Consulate attack was down to a vile video, we know now that the spin was a regroup attempt to keep the Oval spin going in till after the November election.  This blog does not trust the Oval when it comes to national security, taxes, the rights of the press. 

Further Arrests in London Terror Attack

BBC News Live - London: Has breaking news, two more people have been arrested in connection with the London terror attack, a man and a woman both 29 have been arrested on the grounds of suspicion of conspiracy to Murder. 

Lets Get Real:

It is early in the investigation folks, the BBC web site states that the first two terrorists arrested at the murder were known to MI5, thus the question will be asked why did NOT MI5 or Special Branch pick up these two suspects, they are in the Court process and prevent this savage and horrific attack and murder, were these terrorists/suspects lone wolfs, they were not clean skins are they were on the radar, thus these new arrests could mean that there is a wider terror threat and that the terrorists have changed from using bombs to using other Al Qaeda methods to kill and to cause terror within civic society.    The old Al Qaeda structure was destroyed by the Bush/Obama polices in Afghanistan and Iraq, thus we have seen franchise groups develop as those in Africa, and suspected lone wolfs in Boston, of course the Boston case is still open and has a strong Russian connection.  The Police and the Security Services have been very successful in preventing another 7/7, that luck was bound to fail sooner or later, lets hope we do not have any more days like yesterday and today folks, lets our thoughts be with the family and friends of the victim, if we give the terrorists to much PR they win, lets not give them that media air.
