Corbyn and Trident - Corbyn Mania

Guardian: Reports on the issue of Trident and the role of the Labour Party Conference in the decision making, it states the view of its new leader, Jeremy Corbyn, " ( Conference ) ..as much more important to the party’s democracy than previous leaders, and will take the decisions made there as close to Labour policy. "

Lets Get Real:

If the Labour Party conference passes a resolution to dump Trident then it can be argued that the Labour Party is finished a political force, the UK voter will not vote for a Party that wants to scrap our defence and supports no limits on welfare.    The Blair wing of the Labour Party must be in state of shock, how did the Party that won three elections go down the toilet.  It is easy to blame Tony Blair and Iraq, but if you read the Alastair Campbell Diaries there is a concern that the Blair government was losing the heartland of Labour.     Thus with the loss of Scotland to the SNP, the Labour Party must make sure it keeps Wales, if they lose South Wales its over for the Labour Party.   The Labour Party Conference will be interesting, how far left will it go, and what will the Blair wing of the Party do to reverse these mistakes.
