Is this the end of Twitter as the public square of the World, charging will not help those poor people who suffer from harsh regimes, they might not have the money and the Government will know were your direct debit is going.  One understands you do not become the richest man in the World by doing things for FREE, you want to make you money back, Mr M did not use his last $ to buy twitter, if I recall it cost 44 billion, not the kind of money you get from behind your couch.   Thus those with the money will run twitter, form the left to the right, younger and tech smart individuals will use other platforms that do not charge, but even then this blog expects Mr M to make his money back, that is the way of the World.   Next it will be Facebook, money runs the WORLD, Adam Smith would be proud.

The expected Ukraine offensive against the Russians should be ready in a few weeks, when the West has supplied all the tanks they have promised then the Kyiv Government  can take the fight to the Russians, thus Russian offensive has stalled, the inch by inch taking of the Russians has been stalled by the brave action of the Ukraine Forces, in their trench's, with Drones and in their old Soviet Fighter Jets.  The West needs to send modern Western Fighter jets to the Ukraine, the Russians have moved tactical nuclear weapons to Belarus, this is sabre rattling by Putin, he has nothing else in the shed, in many ways the Russian Army is a busted flush, it has shown that it has bad generals, that it has bad strategy and is WEAK when it counts.  This is the time for the West and the Ukraine to smash Russia, push it back over the border and retake Crimea.  There can only be one winner, and that is the Ukraine.

NATO has countered the Russian move, they see it for what it is, a sabre rattling by a political eunuch, the moment Putin gave the green light to invade the Ukraine he wrote his own political death notice, his nuclear sabre rattling with the threat of NUKES and have turned out to be impotence write large.  It can be postulated that Putin is afraid that if he does use tactical nuclear weapons in the Ukraine then the it could lead to WW3, Biden after Afghanistan, can not afford another lose, or it would play in to the idea that Biden has not gotten NATIONAL SECURITY right in 40 years and why start to change that now.  The one hope for Putin is that Donald Trump might gets elected in 2024 for a new term as President, Trump has made it clear that he does not support funding the Ukraine, this wold damage the US and lead to the end of NATO.  Thus President Biden has chosen to run in 2024, he must take the national security fight to Trump, make the US voters want to go back to Reagan's American, peace through strength and the rejection of the isolation views of of Donald Trump.

The news that the Challenger 2 tanks will have depleted uranium in their tank busting shells has really gotten under the skin of President Putin, this action has pushed him to to get his knickers further in twist, the problem with his nuclear threats is that no one believes that he will follow through, only one Country has used nuclear weapons twice and that was the US under President Truman who dropped the bomb on Imperial Japan to force them to surrender and to keep the Russians from invading Japan in 1945.  The Ukraine War for Russia was meant to be short and sweet, it has turned out to be the worst foreign policy decision EVER, it makes the Vietnam War for the US look somewhat reasonable,  and the Iraq War looks like great strategy, the Russian at a conventional estimate have lost a hundred thousand men, also lost tanks, airplanes, helicopters, also the Russians have lost thousands of prisoner mercenaries, they are also releasing thousands of prisoners back on to the streets, the Russian Police will not be happy,  one has to ask when will the Russian people smell the coffee and get out on the streets to protest this ruthless regime.

President Putin is always making THREATS to the West, but he never follows through, the Russians have a pathological FEAR that the UK is up to something against them, it goes back to the conspiracy view that the SIS took out Rasputin during WW1, it has never been proven, but the Russians sees the British as always doing something that will hurt Russia.   President Putin is always getting the nuclear sabre out whenever he sees the UK or the US helping the Ukraine out with military kit.  This blog has lost count of the times Putin has made nuclear threats, one hopes there are adults in the Kremlin and the Russian Defence Ministry who will prevent Putin going bonkers and hitting that red button.  The Russian military bloggers who support the Ukraine WAR are even more dangerous, they want to nuke the UK.   The West is waiting for the Ukraine offensive, with new tanks, trained soldiers and old Russian fighter jets from Poland and others.  This is the time for the Ukraine to push the Russians back towards their real BORDER.  As Sky News reports in  its 6.33pm post, the UK MOD has stated the following on the depleted uranium news, " Russia 'deliberately trying to disinform' over depleted uranium rounds - MoD....The MoD has confirmed it will send depleted uranium rounds to Ukraine, adding that the British Army has used the material in its shells "for decades".  As the article notes the Russians know this, thus the Russian WORD can never be trusted, who would be stupid to do a PEACE DEAL WITH Putin, a War Criminal and a liar.

Shaking hands with a WAR CRIMINAL was BAD picture for the Chinese Leader, giving lethal aid to Russia would be a massive mistake, the US Administration might think there is a need to give more military support to Taiwan, the Chinese are playing a very dangerous game, they want Russia to force the US to weaken its military stock in the case that China decides to invade Taiwan, the US military would have a tough time supporting the Ukraine and Taiwan, the US is duty bound to protect Taiwan, thus the Biden OVAL would be in a hot war in Asia with China, and North Korea might try something with South Korea, the World could get very ugly fast, and it might happen this year or in the Presidential Election in 2024.  The Republicans leading candidates for the Republican nomination have made it clear that they do not support US lethal aid to the Ukraine.  If China thinks that a new Trump Administration might cut military support for the Ukraine and give it to Taiwan, thus it might be in China's interest to invade faster than they thought or planned for, the dotes are starting to link up, WW3 could be around the corner. It might be a good idea to buy that nuclear shelter.

The ERG should do the Conservative Party and the Country a favour by voting for the Belfast Break to future EU rules, but also keeping eye on the Government when it comes to Brexit and EU rules.   The lawyers do what they paid to to, find problems, bit like Doctors, this blog does not like going to the Doctor, thus feels okay, who knows.  Thus you need a lawyer and Doctor when you are in real trouble, this Windsor Framework is not it.  A recent poll has found that the Conservatives have narrowed the Labour Lead to 10 points.  Let's be honest PM Sunak is not Boris, but has a bit more charisma that Sir Keir Starmer.   The Country has of late seen deals with the train and nurses on pay, thus less strikes, the the Country feels better, the ERG MPs should rally to the flag and support the Windsor Framework, give PM Sunak a  chance at the next election.
