Secret talks between Russia and US in Abu Dhabi - Update

BBC News: Reports that US and Russia are to have secret talks in Abu Dhabi about the Updated Peace Talks/Details.

Lets Get Real:

Last night the Ukraine AND Russia hit each other with Drones and a cruise missile hit Kyiv as reported by CNN.  The Russians are not happy about the Updated Peace plan, thus the secret meeting in Abu Dhabi, the Russians wany ALL demands meet and will try to persuade the President to go back to their 27 clauses, a surrender document, that would cause a protest in the Ukraine.   This cannot be allowed to become another Munich 1938, this would lead another World War.

The US Reaction to Putin's moves on East Ukraine - Ukraine Crisis

The White House: Statement by the White House Press Secretary on President Putin announcement on East Ukraine, "   We have anticipated a move like this from Russia and are ready to respond immediately. President Biden will soon issue an Executive Order that will prohibit new investment, trade, and financing by U.S. persons to, from, or in the so-called DNR and LNR regions of Ukraine. This E.O. will also provide authority to impose sanctions on any person determined to operate in those areas of Ukraine. The Departments of State and Treasury will have additional details shortly. We will also soon announce additional measures related to today’s blatant violation of Russia’s international commitments.  " This will really impress Putin NOT, this blog had no idea that US citizens had such large business investments in the East Ukraine.  This really shows why Putin he can win this fight, the first PART IS WEAK as dishwater!  This is the send part of the statement, " To be clear: these measures are separate from and would be in addition to the swift and severe economic measures we have been preparing in coordination with Allies and partners should Russia further invade Ukraine. We are continuing to closely consult with Allies and partners, including Ukraine, on next steps and on Russia’s ongoing escalation along the border with Ukraine.  "

Lets Get Real:

What does it take for POTUS to stop hiding under the Oval Desk, a Desk that has served JFK and Ronald Reagan, do you really think those leaders would have allowed themselves to be played by PUTIN.  A REAL LEADER after this would have placed troops in the Ukraine, and drawn a line, this and no further, but our LEADERS are weak, they hide behind NATO, what is the point of NATO if it does not protect a DEMOCRATIC STATE.  One hopes the US VOTERS get fed up with these peace meal action by POTUS and the Democrats, this is why Democrats are not trusted on NATIONAL SECURITY.  Time for the American Eagle to shows its claws and not just a open hand to be spat on by Putin.

President Biden and his Presser and the Ukraine - Biden Era

The White House: Statement by the White House Press Secretary on the US policy towards a Russian invasion of the Ukraine, " President Biden has been clear with the Russian President: If any Russian military forces move across the Ukrainian border, that’s a renewed invasion, and it will be met with a swift, severe, and united response from the United States and our Allies. President Biden also knows from long experience that the Russians have an extensive playbook of aggression short of military action, including cyberattacks and paramilitary tactics. And he affirmed today that those acts of Russian aggression will be met with a decisive, reciprocal, and united response.  "

Lets Get Real:

POTUS really messed up his presser when it came to the Ukraine, he implied that a minor Russian incursion would require a limited US and Western action, also implied that NATO was not united.  EVEN CNN has been leading with this story, the general view is that President Biden was speaking as if he was still a Senator, in other words his words did not matter, but as President HIS words do matter. The CNN Kiev reporter was getting messages that the Ukraine Government was shocked by the statement by Biden that US and Western action would be limited by a minor invasion by Russia.   Thus BIDEN really needs to get a new CHIEF OF STAFF, you do not let the boss out if he does not know what NOT TO SAY.  Thus ANY MILITARY ACTION by Russia will now call on the Biden Oval to take forceful action, otherwise the Biden mess will be seen as giving a GREEN LIGHT for Russia to invade.

Lets Get Real:

One has to assume that Putin is bluffing, any ATTACK on a NATO Country would invoke Article 5, a attack on one is a attack on ALL.  That mean WORLD WAR 3.  One assumes Putin is doing this to remind the Biden Oval that the Russian have a lot of targets, if so its a VERY bad mistake.  After Afghanistan Biden cannot afford to be seen as WEAK as in relationship to the Russians.  If Putin wants to play hardball the Biden Oval should send in US troops to protect the West of the Ukraine and draw a line between the West and the East.  As stated in previous post the West is waiting for some kind of action by Putin, he in reverse might be waiting for a FORMAL HELL NO from NATO to the Russians demands, that the Ukraine never becomes part of NATO and that the Eastern Nato States will remove their NATO TROOPS and equipment.  PUTIN must know he can only go so far, of course the question ha to be asked, has he gone CRAZY and has started to believe his own PR, that would be a major worry.  The German Foreign Minister is seeing the Russian tomorrow, one hopes that the German will be CLEAR to the Kremlin, an attack on the Ukraine could lead to the cut off their new gas pipeline, whatever the COSTS to the West.   This would hurt Russia and the economic sanctions will be hard for the Russian people to cope with, even the rich ones, Putin's friends.

The Russian BUILD UP on the Ukraine BORDER - Biden Era

Lets Get Real:

The way Putin is going he will have to invade Ukraine or look WEAK to the Russian people, he is making demands of the West that NO US President could even think of doing, this is not 1962 and JFK selling out Turkey over the Cuban Missiles in Cuba, the Kremlin wants a legal TREATY that would prevent the Ukraine joining NATO or for the Easter Countries in NATO to have any NATO soldiers or equipment on their soil.  Any talks with PUTIN would have to have NATO and Allied Countries represented at such a meeting, this would include the Ukraine, that is why Putin just wants a meeting between himself and Biden.  This blog thought Putin was just playing gamers, the Russia Army has been told it will not have Christmas off, that will be in the NEW YEAR, the Russian New Year is a few weeks after the Western New Year.   Thus it can be postulated that Putin really means to invade the Ukraine, even take the whole of the Ukraine and not just the EASTER Russian part.  One hopes Biden is up to the job, or the World might be in REAL TROUBLE in few weeks.

Appeasement Group over Ukraine ? - Biden Era

The leaders underscored their support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. They agreed that their teams will stay in close touch, including in consultation with NATO allies and EU partners, on a coordinated and comprehensive approach.  "

Lets Get Real:

In other WORDS the Western Leaders will do nothing, Russia is already under sanctions, and lets recall that Russia was thrown out of the G7, the Kremlin does not care about sanctions, Putin has seen how weak Biden was over Afghanistan, he sees the Leader of the Free World as a empty suit, and any warnings from his and his allies will seems small beer with the hope of getting the Ukraine back in to Russia.  As stated by this blog and others, Putin sees the fall of the USSR as a major tragedy and is building up Stalin again, in other words he either invades the Ukraine or he gets concessions from the West, he does not want the Ukraine to join NATO and he wants to prevent former Warsaw Pack Countries from having Western NATO Forces close to the border.   In other words this the 1930s ALL over again and Putin is a wannabe Hitler, minus being MAD as Hitler.  The West as in the 1930s appeases him and one day he will go to far, invade Poland or the Baltic States, thus forcing the NATO and the US to act, better to to place a red line in the Ukraine, STOP PUTIN before he causes World War 3.  PM Johnson should know better, he has written a biography of Winston Churchill and Biden is OLD enough to remember Munich 1938, will Biden sell out the Ukraine as Chamberlain sold out the Czechs.

Lets Get Real:

The blog has argued to place US and NATO combat troops in the Ukraine, this would be a big deterrence to Putin of Russia, a red line would be shown and the Russians would be a very aware of it, any attack on NATO troops could lead to WAR.  One doubts the Biden Oval has the guts to do this, it can be postulated that Biden will threaten harsh sanctions against Russia should they invade, sanctions that could break the Russia economy.   Also if Russia does invade the US and NATO should send military back up to the Ukraine, such as tanks, airplanes, intelligence reports, all the kit they need to stall and hurt the Russian Army.  President Lukashenko is the kind of nut that could lead to a WAR BY MISTAKE, he is called the last tyrant in Europe, he is at the beck and call of Putin, recent remarks by the President had to be rolled back by the Kremlin.  The US Secretary of State has to be CLEAR with the Russians, do this and it will lead to serious reaction, and the US will protect the Ukraine, also place nuclear missiles in Poland and the Baltic States, make it CLEAR, NATO stands as one. 

Missiles are Coming - TRUMP - Trump Era

BBC News: Reports " US President Donald Trump has tweeted that Russia should "get ready" for missiles to be fired at its ally Syria, in response to an alleged chemical attack near Damascus on Saturday. "

Lets Get Real:

The missiles when they are fired will not be a surprise to either the Assad Regime or to Russia.    It will be interesting to see who joins the battle, of course there will be the US and France, what will the UK do, one does hope that May shows some leadership and uses the power of the Queen to join her allies.   Sometimes the people want the leaders to lead, then they will come to the water, in other words, forced to accept the reality of action, think Churchill 1940, the elite did not want to go to WAR and the working class had gone through World War one, but Churchill lead and saved West we know today.  One hopes the Russians do not overplay their hand, we do not want to see World War 3.

Lets Get Real:

The Donald might be a racist fool who happens to be a billionaire, but on this subject of placing a no fly zone in Syria he could be right, someone has to be right at some time.   HRC after she is elected will have to be seen as tough, yes because she is a woman, but also because she has been forceful over the no fly zone.    Thus the question does she really mean it or is she bluffing, on this I would not want to call her bluff.   The Russians are of course supporting the Donald, they might have good reasons, HRC is one tough cookie as they say in the United States.
