PM Boris Johnson Survives No Confidence Vote - After Brexit

Sky News: Reports on the actual figures from the No Confidence vote, " Some 211 MPs voted for the prime minister, compared to 148 votes against - a majority of 63.  "

Lets Get Real:

Both BBC News and Sky News have stated that the PM did not match the level of support that PM May got in 2018, it does not matter, the PM is safe for another year, and those that voted against the PM and stated so will be closely inspected by the Chief Whip, the PM should appoint a Chief Whip who puts the FEAR of God in to MPs, the Chief Whip should tell them, that the PM expects absolute loyalty when it comes to a 3 line whip, otherwise the MPs WONT have to worry about the next election, they will find that the Whip has been removed from them, that means they cannot stand as a Conservative Candidate in the election, they can stand by themselves, a few Anti Brexit MPs did that in 2019 after they were thrown out of the Party by Boris.  They LOST.  Thus MPs need a new Chief Whip, in the shape of FU from the UK House of Cards, and man to but a whip about and to make sure MPs follow the line.  Also the so called experts are missing one point, PM Boris is not PM May, and the PM can throw things at the WALL and make them stick, and force un - loyal MPs to vote for them, such as overriding the Northern Ireland Protocol and Tax cuts next year, Boris is hurt but not finished, history can repeat itself but also at the end of the day they are different cases.  PM has more political lives than a cat or a Time Lord.

Thus this a 2nd win for the Democrats in Congress, Speaker Pelosi denied the President the House for the State of the Union and NOW the Oval Office has agreed to open the Government without any payment for the Trump Wall.  The Trump base must have worked out NOW that Trump can be rolled and does not keep to his WORD.   It can be postulated that the Trump White House saw the POLLS and were worried about 2020 and the Russia probe.   The Democrats will now think they can run the domestic agenda and just threaten to close the Government if they do not get what they want.   One doubts that the Trump Oval will want to close the Government again, also one presumes that Trump wants to do the State of the Union on the 29th, will the Speaker allow that without more concessions.   The above has shown that Trump is WEAK, Reagan sacked the Air Traffic Controllers when they went on strike, he was a leader, POTUS has shown that he is not great at the deal and  will  NOT stand firm.   The Republicans, well the Cabinet and VP should consider suspending POTUS and stating this is due to the Russia investigation, the Trump Presidency with this defeat and the Russia probe has become a RISK to Republicans in 2020.    Of course it would take the VP to stand up to POTUS. 

Commentary on the Trump State of the Union Speech - Trump Era

Sky News: Reports, " His first State of the Union address went well. It was well constructed, well delivered and well received, at least by his own party.  "

Lets Get Real:

The speech was tough on Foreign Policy, Gitmo would remain open, the US supported the demos in Iran, the US would carry on the war in Afghanistan with no end dates like the previous Administration, and North Korea is a major threat.  The above would make any right winger happy, the idea of a deal on illegal immigration is another matter, the Trump Oval wants to grant citizenship to those bought to the US illegally when young.  That could create a minefield on its own, the Democrats want immigration reform, but do not want to make a deal with Trump, they hate the idea of a Wall.   That is just the policy problems, the Russian probe is on going, what news will that deliver, Trump should enjoy last night, there could still be a few horror days ahead. 

75% Support for State of the Union Speech - Trump Era

CBS: Reports of those Americans who watched the State of the Union, 75% approved of the speech, while 25% Disapproved. 

Lets Get Real:

The Trump Oval should be happy with this approval rate for the State of the Union speech, the President must make sure he does not step on his success, thus less tweets over the next couple of days would be a good idea.  The President should stress that he will work with Democrats when it comes to illegal immigration.   The Democrats in the House Chamber did not stand a lot to applaud, the left wing of the Democratic Party will be taking names of those that did stand.  The President should travel around the US to reconfirm his speech, get voters to call their House member or Senator to support the President's agenda.   Thus a good day for POTUS.
