The US and Iraq - The Middle East in Crisis

Telegraph: Reports in its 6.29pm post the following, " Breaking from Reuters: US 'stands ready' to provide assistance to Iraq  No detail yet on what that means - but almost certain to be diplomatic and equipment, rather than actual military intervention. "

Lets Get Real:

What is President Obama going to do, make another speech that tells the World that the War on Terror is OVER, that this is not Al Qaeda core at work, that its a franchise, a franchise that could turn to out to be bigger than the original Al Qaeda, and more of a threat, ALL that oil money, and control of new State WITHIN Syria and Iraq.   This is a national security disaster and its down to President Obama, his policy decisions have created this mess, does recall Jimmy Carter.   The US needs a new Ronald Reagan. 

World War One Borders Dissolve in Iraq - Middle East

Guardian: Reports Al Qaeda wants to dissolve WW1 borders, the article notes the following, " Statements released by the group claimed that the assault on Mosul was the beginning of the end of the Sykes Picot agreement - the post-colonial settlement which in 1916 enshrined the nation states of Syria and Lebanon and influenced the drawing of the Jordan and Iraq borders.  "

Lets Get Real:

The US and the West HAS to act or it might find that Al Qaeda controls a lot of oil and the money to go nuclear, this is also a threat to the borders of other Countries in the region.  The US should send in US Special Forces and drones to take out this threat, the Oval can not wait for the World to agree, it might be to late.   If Al Qaeda gets the nuclear bomb, or buys one, this would be a threat to the existence  of Israel, thus Israel must be wondering how far it can let this go before having to take action.   The West must and the Oval must get over the fact that the War on Terror is OVER, its not, and if the West is weak there will be more deaths in the Middle East and the West.   Time is running out to take action.

Irish Austerity - View from Dublin

Folks here is a reaction from a Friend of this blog in Republic of Ireland to the latest Austerity package of the Irish Government, “ Some cuts I actually support but, the problem is that they are not uniform. I was outside Leinster House tonight and there were lots of protestors although it sounded almost like they were having a street party. Demonstration Irish style. Anyway one of the most truly disgusting things about this budget is that they have cut disability allowances for 18-24 year olds from €188.00 p/week to €100.00. They are basically saying that they are the same as normal people of the same age trying to get work. At the same time ex civil servants have had their pensions reduced by €80.00. ”.

As this blog has stated in other posts, the bailout nations, such as Ireland have in effect given up their ability run their own Government. The Irish Budget was discussed by the German Parliament before it was discussed in Dublin. The failed Irish Governments have done what the Kaiser and Hitler could not do, they have handed over the fate of their peoples to Germany, the 4th Economic Reich. What was the point of the Easter Rising of 1916, the Irish would better off back under the Crown, at least the NHS is free and benefits are going up for those on welfare.
