Is a Revised Northern Ireland Protocol CLOSE ? - After Brexit/After Boris

There has been a upbeat tone to the latest talks, the PM went to Northern Ireland to talk to the Parties, every side seems to get that this could be it, a time for a DEAL.  At the press conference after the DUP leader seem to give the impression that the DUP would get back in to Government with the Nationalists, just a few things needed to be shorted out.  THIS comes to the classic, the devil is in the detail, will both sides in Northern Ireland agree to the NEW DEAL when shown the details, will the European Research Group who take their stand based on what the DUP says, follow and support their PM, the Labour Party has stated that it will support any new DEAL, that does not help the PM, if the ERG KNOW that the DUP is not supportive they will not follow a three line whip. Any DEAL only works if the DUP will go back in to Government, the role of the European Court of Justice will be very important, how close in the deal is the ECJ part of the process, that could be the sticky wicket for ALL SIDES.  The commentary is that that a deal could be done by Tuesday.

Normally long term leaders, like Thatcher get thrown out by her Cabinet, this blog was shocked to hear that Nicola Sturgeon had resigned, of late all we have heard from Scotland is Nicola Sturgeon and the debate about trans rights.  The sole purpose of the SNP is break up the UK.  The recent polls have shown that the direction is going the other way, due to the political decisions made by Sturgeon and the Scottish Parliament when it comes to the TRANS issues, the support for the break up of the Union has faded, the UK Supreme Court stated that the Scottish Parliament can only have a referendum on a Independent Scotland if it is granted by the UK Parliament, and that is not going to happen at present.  Thus we must take the First Minister by her words, that it was the right time to go, people will be discussing this for years, it will be like when Harold Wilson resigned out of the blue in 1976, of late new information has come out, it seems that the late Queen saw that Wilson had declined and tried to suggest time for him go, in this she was supported by Wilson's wife back home.  One does think 8 years is enough for any leader, Blair made the mistake of staying on for 10 years, before being pushed out by Gordon Brown and his supporters.  One must respect Sturgeon, she did a tough job, not my cup of tea, and held to her view, before making her mind up, that enough was enough.

This story stinks to high heaven, so the US Government is going back to its usual line, it's a weather balloon, if they were so harmless, how did US Fighter Pilot miss with his first short with the last takedown.  One can bet the makers of the X - Files will be writing a two parter for the above.  This blog has not seen any claim for the three balloons, surly something like that would LEAK out, it's to good a story, Top Guns fighters shoot down a balloon, how come we have not seen any footage of the takedowns, if it was just a balloon it would be out by NOW.  If the US Congress wanted to find out the TRUTH they would, what they do not want to know if it alien or from North Korea, Iran, Russia, that would add to the US problems with these Countries.  As stated this smells to high heaven, THE TRUTH IS OUT THERE!!

The Kremlin needs a win before the anniversary of the start of the War on the 24 February 2022, the Russians are losing men beyond Western understanding, the Russians have the manpower, while the West has the tech.  The NATO meeting today shows that the West has to double its efforts in getting ammonisation to the Ukraine, the West and NATO never thought it would fight a WAR of attrition like the ALLIES fought in World War One, the Russians have shown they do not have the tech but they have the limitless men, of course bright Russian men have headed to the borders of Russia, they believe and with some justification that they will not be trained well enough and will not have the right weapons.  The call up of prisoners from prison shows how much the Putin Regime has gotten this WAR wrong from the start.  There are reports that Putin fears getting assassination and thus he has a limited court to tell him what is going on in the Ukraine, something must give, the West cannot afford to lose, the Ukraine is its defence against Russia, while Putin knows that if he loses it will be the end of him. Who will win?

One would think that the Donald would not be happy with this development, but then you would be WRONG, the Trump base of the Republican Party is around 30% to 40%, thus the Trump Campaign need a lot of Republicans to enter the race, and thus make the Trump the biggest fish in a pond of small fishes.  Of course there is a long way to go before 2024, the Donald could be felled by the Courts, god forbid, JAIL TIME, that would be an interesting development, the Donald facing jail time while getting re-elected President, the President is immune from prosecution while in OFFICE, thus the Donald needs to win to avoid the Courts and a major downfall.  Ambassador Haley will be the darling of the liberal elite newspapers and NEWS CHANNELS, expect to see her a lot on CNN and the Conservative Fox News, just in case she wins.  Ambassador Haley better get ready for the tough fight in Iowa and New Hampshire, the Donald will be lurking. 

More Military Supplies needed for the Ukraine - Ukraine - Russian War - Biden Era

The Ukraine Forces are killing Russians and holding the line, all this makes sure that NATO does not need to do the job, NATO must increase supplies to the Kyiv Government, this means more ammo, drones, guns, tanks, and finally Western fighter Jets, if the Ukraine crew cannot fly them, then the West must think about having former pilots come out of retirement to do the job, then the Russians cannot accuse the West of having an active hand in the WAR.  The Ukraine Government want F- 16 fighter jets, they have done a formal request to the Netherlands, one assumes the West will not supply fighter jets in till the US gives the word, it depends when Biden wants to the Russians on the Polish border and causing problems in the 2024 Presidential Election, the US voter will not forgive losing Afghanistan and the Ukraine, never mind the air security of the United States.   Thus the Biden Oval needs to be right this time when it comes national security, the West cannot wait for Biden to become more self aware, they might cost the Ukraine the WAR.

Lets Gets Real:

NATO has woken up, the question is has the US, UK and the rest of the NATO Countries gotten  the memo that the Russian Bear is on the move and the West has to be more nimble in the requests from the Ukraine.  It is reported today by Russia that they have advanced a mile, this has not be confirmed by the Ukraine or Western news agencies, the problem is that the Russians have LIED so much during this WAR, that nothing is taken at face value, the fact that NATO will discuss the request for planes from the Ukraine might mean that the Kyiv Governemnt cannot wait for the WESTERN tanks to come, they might need fighter jets to push back the Russians.  As stated by this blog and many others, Russia has to be seen to lose and for that to be a FACT on the ground.  The Russian Bear is hungry for land, and it will push the limits, the West, the US and the West cannot afford a 1930s appeasement mind set, that could lead to WW3.
