Lets Get Real:

Are the Democrats trying to LOSE the 2020 election, the leading candidates have endorsed a socialist agenda of  Green New Deal, it would cost trillions and would never get pass the US Congress.  The main candidates are pushing for tax hikes on the rich, and medical over for ALL AMERICANS, and the removal of private health insurance.   The Trump State of Union called what the Democrats doing as socialist, what was shocking is the fact that when POTUS stated that the US would never be a socialist country, the Democrats sat on their hands.   Thus the extreme left wing has taken over the Democratic Party, if the Trump Oval could keep on message it could destroy the Democratic Party for 2020.  One only hopes that former VP Joe Biden enters the race, a grown up, but then he has started his sorry tour over his support for tough laws in the 80s and 90s.   IF the Democrats are seen as supporting illegal immigration then they can forget the rust belt States.   They Democrats are making the same mistake as military commanders fighting a new War based on the results of 2018, two years is a LONG TIME, every Presidential Election is different, the Obama Campaign team of 08 and 12 could not get HRC elected, and HRC was a moderate, liberal on domestic issues but tough on foreign policy.   The papers and networks that give Democratic candidates air time, the ones with no chance of winning, are defrauding their customers, the political reports who write about them, should give back their reporters degrees and refund their paychecks, they are not doing their job.   IF the US Government shuts down again, the Trump Oval should keep it CLOSED, make the case that the Democrats are more interested in illegal immigrants that legal Americans. 

PM May agrees to talks with Jeremy Corbyn over Brexit - Brexit Update 2 - Post Brexit

Sky News: Reports " Theresa May accepts talks offer from Jeremy Corbyn in bid for Brexit breakthrough..The prime minister indicates their teams should meet "as soon as possible" with fewer than 50 days to go until Brexit.  "

Lets Get Real:

The PRO Remain Sky News sees the acceptance of talks by the PM as her softening her RED LINES.   Also it could be seen that the PM is reminding her HARD BREXIT supporters if they want to see Brexit they have to support her.   It has been argued that the PM is playing for time, that she is either looking for the House of Commons to pass her DEAL or she is seeking a NO DEAL Brexit.   The PM is keeping her cards close to her chest, she is keeping her HARD REMAINERS and HARD BREXIT MPs in line so far, will they bolt on Thursday on give her most time, the various groups it can be postulated will set down various Amendments for Thursday, will the PM and the Government defeat them, or will the House of Commons take control of Brexit.

PM May replies to Jeremy Corbyn - Brexit Update 1 - Post Brexit

BBC News: Reports " Theresa May has responded to Jeremy Corbyn's letter setting out his five demands for a Brexit deal.  "

Lets Get Real:

The letter from the PM to the Leader of the Opposition has split some of the papers, one sees it as a firm NO from the PM, while others see it as the PM moving for a Soft Brexit.  The meaningful vote on the withdrawal agreement could come at the end of March, of course the HARD REMAINERS will try on Thursday to thwart Brexit.   One wonders what the Remain Cabinet Ministers and the Ministers of State to, will they resign and vote with the Opposition, will they undermine the PM.   The PM should consider sending the Houses of Parliament in to Recess and run the Government through Royal Decree.   There is NO WAY that 650 MPs can decide foreign policy, the HARD REMAINERS just want to STOP Brexit, in this they will be helped by a bias Speaker.   The HARD BREXIT supporters have to get the prize of the UK out of the EU, they can get what they want after May has a successor at No 10.

This could be a ploy by HARD REMAINERS to sneak an extension of Article 50.  The Conservative Chief Whips should have their eyes and ears open, the PM needs to place pressure on Hard Remainers within the Cabinet to stay, make it clear, once they are OUT, there is no coming back, when it's over its over.   Also the Conservative Chief Whips should be having talks with Labour MPs from Leaves Seats, remind them that the Government is willing to fund these poor areas, all politics is local, and the voters want to see their MPs bring home the bacon.   The PM has to be tough with the EU, if they STALL, make it clear that the UK will leave with No Deal.  The next few weeks are going to be very interesting, if you are a political geek.

PM May meets the Irish Prime Minister - Brexit Update 1 - Post Brexit

Lets Get Real:

It can be argued that both Sky News and BBC News are showing their true colours, they want to REMAIN and get a 2nd Brexit vote.  It is May bashing nearly ALL THE TIME and hardly any mention of the project fear that the Remainers used in 2016 and still lost the vote.  The PM has to keep to her strategy, take it down to the line.   Any talks with the EU always go down to the last minute.  The HARD BREXIT supporters should always recall that the PRIZE is OUT of the EU, so they must not seek 100% of what they want, once we are out of the EU we can get a Brexit PM and change any deals made by PM May.   The HARD REMAINERS will try to block Brexit NEXT WEEK.   The PM should consider sending Houses of Parliament in to recess and use the the Royal Prerogative to get any new rules set in place before the UK leaves the EU as planned on March 29th.   Any extension of Article 50 will be used by Remainers to thwart Brexit. 

2nd Woman Accuses Lt Governor Fairfax of Virginia of Sexual Assault - Trump Era

This commentary is about the politics of the race and sexual scandals in Virginia, it does not give a  moral view of either three cases.

The Female Candidates running for the 2020 Democratic Presidential Nomination have called on Lt Governor Fairfax to resign.  The irony of this call is that should Fairfax resign the Governor with his own race scandal would appoint a new Deputy.  One can see the Lt Governor thinking, Bill Clinton was accused of sexual assault and he did not resign.   It is now a custom for people caught up in scandal NOT TO RESIGN, they play it out over the long term, rare exception was a recent Democratic Senator who resigned, due to pressure from his Democratic colleagues.   African American voters will ask if there is one rule for Bill Clinton but another for the Lt Governor, that would cause problems with the base of the Democratic Party, as the major players are African American voters and women.   The Trump Oval must be loving this, as long as the Governor, Lt Governor and the Attorney General stay in OFFICE in Virginia the President can point to the fact that the Democrats are in a glass house, not a wise idea to throw bricks about.

In normal circumstances this would help the female candidates who are running for the 2020 Democratic Nomination, but it does not, Warren is a laughing stock after her claim that she was a Native American, while Harris wants to take away the private medical insurance of Americans.   Also Warren wants to tax the rich in till the bleed, while Harris is on a sorry spin for her time as a Special Prosecutor.   The OTHER female candidates as of this time are famous in their own houses, just.   As for Senator Booker he does not have the Obama charisma, he is no JFK, Bill Clinton or as stated Barack Obama.   Thus it is being reported that former VP Biden might enter the race, a recent poll showed a majority of Americans want this, but then Biden also has his problems, he supported tough criminal laws in the 80s and 90s, as with Harris he has said he is sorry.   Also he will have to carry the Obama record, the good and the bad.   This is not the first time Biden might run, he has run before and LOST, also he has a foot in mouth problem.   At present the Democratic candidates for President do NOT IMPRESS, it might be time for a THIRD PARTY for US politics.
