Lets Get Real: 

It is not what Russia is saying in public that worries this blog, it is what Moscow is telling Assad in private is the most concern, the Russians will support Assad as long as they can, they need their warm water port, the Russians have confirmed that WMD has been used in Syria, but they blame the Syrian Opposition, they want the West to think that the it was home made WMD that caused the hundreds of deaths, yes folks they are spinning even what they do not think is true.   It can be postulated that Assad will delay for days or even weeks any UN Inspectors looking at the areas that came under attack, the Regime will want to clear way any evidence of an attack by their side.   Thus folks Assad WINS again, sad day for Syria, the West and most of all OUR humanity. 

UK on Assad Chemical Attack - Syrian Crisis

Guardian: Reports the policy of the UK Government to the latest massacre in Syria, " Assad regime responsible for Syrian chemical attack, says UK government ".

Lets Get Real:

This could be Libya 2011 ALL over again folks, the UK and France take the lead, the PR side of any operation while the US leads from behind.   The American Era of leadership is really over if the OLD Imperial Powers have to solve the problems of the Middle East, very much a return to the future folks.  The question is will the UK and France take action without UN approval after Iraq, can the UK Coalition Government go on if the Conservative PM decides to take action, there are internal and external risks should UK and France take action, Syria is not Libya, they are backed by Russia and Iran, if UK is in so is the US, there are only so many bridges Obama can burn when it comes to Foreign Policy, thus folks we shall see who has the morale and political backbone to take action in Syria. 

Obama's OCD over Syria - 2nd Term Blues

BBC News: Reports that President Obama has stated that the allegation that the Assad Regime had used chemical weapons on its own people was a " BIG EVENT OF GRAVE CONCERN ". 

Lets Get Real:

The Oval is showing traits of OCD folks, one aspect of OCD is following a ritual, with the Oval its first concern, then it wants evidence, then it wants to go to the UN, of course then Russia vetoes any action.  The Oval returns to the start of the ritual, it has done this before, the Oval stated that it had a red line when it came to the use of WMD in Syria, when it was forced to admit that Syria had used WMD it did NOTHING, now the Assad Regime has gone for a bigger attack, and the Oval is following its ritual, as this blog has done Roman History one starts to think of Obama as a very infamous Roman Pro Consul who washed his hands and allowed the mob; the mob in Obama's case is Russia and China; to kill an innocent man and allow a bad man to get away.  If the murder of innocent children by the use of WMD does not get the Oval to move we have a morale bankrupt President.  A leader who is so weak that he allows the UN and Russia to dictate US Foreign Policy, who will allow thousands of men, women and children to be killed for over two and half years by a murderous Regime, what next, will Obama allow Assad to wipe out entire towns with WMD.    This is a sad day for the US and the West folks.  SHAME ON THE OVAL.  Let history never forget that Obama washed his hands and other people died.

Folks the Democrats and the US Defence Department is gun shy after Afghanistan and Iraq, the military feel like they have been left with the baby when it comes to Iraq and Afghanistan, they have taken the terrible losses, while the political top brass take cover and leave the mess for the military to clear up.   If your POTUS you take the advice of the military but you do not allow them to have a VETO, if this had been the case Bush 41 would have waited for sanctions to work to to get Iraq out of Kuwait before the first Gulf War.  After Vietnam the US Military has a typical argument when it comes to taking action, you will need hundreds of troops, it will cost billions and you could lose, President Reagan was a tough War Leader, he lost hundreds of US Marines in a bomb attack in Lebanon in 1983, the the following day he invaded Grenada to protect US Citizens, a  US President must lead, otherwise the enemies of the US will see a weak giant and act, one has to feel sorry for the people of Syria, more will die, SO SAD.

This is what you get folks when you have a weak US President, vicious Regimes like the Assad Regime can get away with murder, the Oval likes the title POTUS but does not want to get its hands dirty, it fears losing its liberal base, the liberal base did not support the overthrow of Gaddafi of Libya, after Iraq the and Afghanistan the liberal base is gun shy, it does not want the US to lead, it expects the UN to lead, well with the Russian and China VETO that is not going to happen folks, thus if the West does not take action over the latest use of chemical weapons in Syria one can postulate that Iran will go nuclear, this will force Israel to ACT, this could lead to a regional WAR, then the Oval and the West will have to get its hands very dirty, Western voters will not be happy if the petrol prices shoot up due to a Middle East Regional War.

BBC News: Reports that the Syrian Opposition is claiming that a 1,000+ Syrians have been killed in a chemical weapon attack this morning on the outskirts of Damascus.

Lets Get Real: 

Even now folks the Russians are supporting the Assad Regime, this blog will VERY SURPRISED if Moscow agrees to any more tougher UN resolutions, one thing about the Russians they support a strategic ally to the end, the Russians needs their only warm water port in Syria, thus unlike Obama with Egypt it it can be postulated that Putin's Russia will place the blame for any chemical attack at the door of the Syrian Opposition, thus folks after all the hot air out of Western Capitals we will be back to the West doing nothing and Assad killing his own people and Al Qaeda growing in influence in Syria, while the Oval fiddles the Middle East burns.

The White House: Has the following Statement from the WH on the allegation that the Assad Regime used chemical weapons on its own people early this morning, " The United States is deeply concerned by reports that hundreds of Syrian civilians have been killed in an attack by Syrian government forces, including by the use of chemical weapons, near Damascus earlier today.  We are working urgently to gather additional information.

 

The United States strongly condemns any and all use of chemical weapons.  Those responsible for the use of chemical weapons must be held accountable.  Today, we are formally requesting that the United Nations urgently investigate this new allegation.  The UN investigative team, which is currently in Syria, is prepared to do so, and that is consistent with its purpose and mandate.  For the UN’s efforts to be credible, they must have immediate access to witnesses and affected individuals, and have the ability to examine and collect physical evidence without any interference or manipulation from the Syrian government.  If the Syrian government has nothing to hide and is truly committed to an impartial and credible investigation of chemical weapons use in Syria, it will facilitate the UN team’s immediate and unfettered access to this site.  We have also called for urgent consultations in the UN Security Council to discuss these allegations and to call for the Syrian government to provide immediate access to the UN investigative team.  The United States urges all Syrian parties including the government and opposition, to provide immediate access to any and all sites of importance to the investigation and to ensure security for the UN investigative team. ".

Lets Get Real:

This shows folks how much contempt the Assad Regime has for President Obama, IF TRUE the Assad Regime has used chemical weapons while the UN is on the ground, one can assume that the fraught Egypt policy of the Oval has given the Assad the view that this President will never ACT, he is weak, he stated that the use of chemical weapons was a red line, and has done nothing when it has been confirmed in the past that Assad has used WMD.   Thus folks the Oval will bluster, make calls for UN action and DO NOTHING.  The Assad Regime has WON folks due to the feckless nature and ego of President Obama.  Over a hundred thousand Syrians have died because of the Obama ego.   The Oval does have blood on its hands.
