US could take Kharg Island with Ground Troops - Update

Sky News: Reports in its 11.31am post the following, " US' considers occupying Iranian island' - and why that would be 'really serious' for Tehran  " 

Let's Get Real:

If US takes Kharg Island it would force Tehran not to threaten the Strait of Hormuz, Kharg Island is the tap of Iranian oil, therefore the US could turn the tab off and on for Iranian oil.  That would bring the Tehran Regime to its knees.  This would mean placing ground troops on Iranian soil, the Democrats would go mad, but could be useful for the Republicans in the Mid Terms in November.
