Syrian Rebels and US NOT WORKING TOGETHER !- New War on Terror

Lets Get Real:

This shows the weakness of the Obama Administration, the Oval Office wants to offer resistance but does not want to go all in as they say in Texas hold up, thus the lack of action to strike IS when it has the chance.   The Oval Office has to get one fact, the problem will not go away, IS is and will remain a problem that will outlast the Obama Presidency, the only question that President Obama has to ask himself  is  HOW much of a problem IS will be to the next President and how will history look at him if he allows Iraq and Syria to fall in to then hands of IS.  History is not forgiving of failure by US Presidents.

Lets Get Real:

This story was on Fox News last night, it seems that the fleeing Iraqi forces left behind two thousand three hundred US military cars known as humvees, they were designed so they would ber hard to destroy.    Thus another own goal by the Baghdad government, the Iraqi Government calls for more weapons, but then their own forces leave it behind when they do a ruuner, that does not build trust in the Baghdad government or it forces.   The US should be firm, no more military help in till better army and one that will fight.   One can almost understand the Obama's Oval refusal to become more part of the War. 

The World and IS - New War on Terror

BBC News:  Reports " The advance of Islamic State militants (IS) in Iraq is a "failure" of the world, Iraq's prime minister has said.  "

Lets Get Real:

The article notes that Iraq wants to buy weapons from Russia and Iran but sanctions on these countries makes that impossible, the West should be firm, no lifting of sanctions on Russia while it is still in the East Ukraine and no deals with Iran in till there is a finished agreement on the nuclear plans of Iran.   The politics of the MIddle East is murky at the best of time, if you West allows Russia or Iran to play then Tehran will use this development in other areas of disagreement with the West.   There needs to be Western ground troops in Iraq, that is the only thing that will STOP IS.   All the talk in the World will not solve Iraq and Syria, it takes troops and weapons and a will to follow through with the destruction of IS.

Lets Get Real:

Thus more land taken by IS, the civil war in Syria is very murky to say the least, you have IS, Al Qaeda, secular rebels and the planned US supported rebels.   The Obama Oval is at fault here also, when the resistance started in Syria against Assad it was secular, the lack of US and Western action allowed more extreme groups to develop, also it saw the rise of IS.   It will take some good diplomacy and good troops to solve the mess in Syria, on top of that you  have have Iran and Russian interests in Syria, the Russians have a warm water navel base in Syria, it can be argued that Putin wants to keep that, so he still supporting Assad.  The Tehran interest is is keeping Assad in power as they share the same religious outlook.   The kettle has boiled over in Syria and Iraq, its a bloody mess. 

IS Latest Terror Tactic - New War on Terror

Lets Get Real:

The Islamic State is creating a generation of terrorists, the West can not wait to finish them off, the threat from IS ever growing, with every youngster that it takes it opens a new threat to the Middle East and the West.   At some point the Oval Office and No.10 will have to face IS, waiting for the problem to go away will not work, the destruction of Syria and Iraq is on going, at some point IS will become a major threat to Baghdad and to Syria.   At what point does the West say NO MORE. 

Hillary Clinton and Libya - Libyan Arms

Lets Get Real:

At least Hillary Clinton was tough, more a hawk than dove, and lets face after President Obama the Oval Office could do with a tough hawk, the problem seems to rise when there is a question of those arms being send to Syria to arm the Syrian opposition, did they end up the arms of IS.  One can understand why the Obama Administration and its officials are not to keen to discuss the issue, it would be a PR disaster if arms sent to support the Libyan opposition ended up with the enemies of the US.    One suspects in this case it is better to let sleeping dogs sleep, one might not like the answer and the problems for the US and for the Hillary Clinton in 2016.    That is why any such secret operations are done in the manner that allows the White House and other Departments to state they knew nothing, that is a lot better than a paper trail through emails.    In this case it might be wise for the Republicans to let the issue drop, the Republicans do not need to create flak for themselves. 

Are the French TOUGHER on Iran than the US - Middle East

Who would have thought that is would be the French who were tough on Iran, the Obama Oval can smell a deal, it wants a deal at any cost, the French should stand up to Obama,  he will be out of Office in 2017, any failed deal will be left to the powers, thus better to be firm NOW, not later.   That kind of mess can lead to WAR.    The Gulf States are using their money and influence to make it clear to the French, that should they be tough they will gain long term economic and political influence that once the US held.    If POTUS wants to give up the leadership of the West, that is fine, but he does not get to say who takes over, its only an ego maniac who thinks he can control those kind of events..
