One has to wonder why the Russians did this, Trump has said nice things about President Putin and wants a lesser role for the US in NATO.   One can hope that Russia releases the opposition research on Trump, it would be doing the World a favour and the US.   Also it does seem sloppy that the Russians got caught, they need to pay their hackers more.

Listening to the speech by POTUS it showed that he really feels the above, the problem was the US voter wants a caring President in a time of crisis, not a lecture, also after seven years of the Obama waffle it no longer works, the President is his own worst enemy, his ego is never challenged by the press, the Congress has been slow in blocking Obama's executive orders and the US voter is afraid, they want a Reagan not a Woodrow Wilson.

Thus the Democrats will use the lone wolf facts to argue for gun control, this blog supports gun control, a lot more stricter than any liberal Democrat would say in public, BUT and here is the but, you can see the base pressing for gun control, but quite or opposed to the US moving in ground troops to take out Daesh,   On the other hand, Trump wants to ban muslims from coming in to the US, that the lone wolf was born in the US does not seem a problem to the Trump Camp, they just stress the ban, facts do not matter, on the other hand Republicans support going after Daesh, in till the body bags come home.   Thus what ever political side you take you face a nominee more interested in spin than reality.

In an implicit rebuke to Donald Trump she said: 'This is a time for statesmanship; for Republicans and Democrats and Independents to come together. We have to  remember how we came together after 9/11 and we should recapture that."..She used the attacks to again press her views on gun reform: "A gunman used a weapon of war to shoot down 50 people and we can't even get the congress to block the buying of arms for people on no fly-lists." "

Lets Get Real:

Thus the Democrats and the Republicans are in the gutter fighting over the meaning of the Florida attacks, Trump wants to ban muslims coming to the US, while the Democrats are back on their fav subject gun control.   It is no surprise that the US is split, the two nominees of the main Parties have the highest negatives, they pander to their base of support, one wonders IF and WHEN they will move to the centre, at this rate never.

It did not take long for the Florida attack to become political, the right see it as confirming the Trump view of the World, while the left has already started on gun control.  Everything is political sooner or later, as people fight for their lives in hospitals.   The case is on going, the FBI need to do a detailed investigation, this will take time, the political operators will have to wait in till the full facts of the case are known.   Of course that will not stop the politics, it is a Presidential election year, some people have no respect for due process.

So-called Islamic State (IS) has issued a message linking the Orlando attacker to the group but questions remain over the extent of the links or any co-ordination between them. "

HRC is taking a risk by stating that the Florida attack was a lone wolf attack, the FBI and the local police are still investigation, it could be a lone wolf attack or the orders in some way came from the Daesh Capital in Syria.  That is the problem in this 24 news cycle, the press want answers an hour ago, they spend most of the time repeating what they have just said. Donald Trump was happy with himself that his world view has been confirmed, e.g banning muslims has nothing to with Florida as of this moment in time.   This is why HRC is the fav candidate of this blog.
