Blair on Egypt Coup - Crisis in Egypt

BBC News: Reports that former Labour PM Tony Blair has come out in support of the Army Coup in Egypt. 

Lets Get Real:

Lets see was this blog right to support the Egyptian Army in their coup, Tony Blair has come out in support, that is a joke folks, of course Mr Blair is correct, the Egyptian Army faced the breakdown of civil society, the Muslim Brotherhood was taking Egypt down the road of Iran,  as noted in the Sunday Times the Egyptian Army was worried that President Morsi was getting to close to Iran,  this was seen as a threat to the Army and to the secular society of Egypt.   Lets get real here folks, the millions of protesters in Egypt gave the Army the PR cover it wanted, one can postulate that the Army would have taken over one way or another, the Army has to write a secular Constitution, make sure that the Muslim Brotherhood can not take part in future election, and even if they do take part that there are other power centres to make sure that they can not rule by themselves,  create a US system of checks, nothing gets done in less other centres approve, fix the elections before they happen folks.

Lets Get Real: 

This is the threat folks, that Egypt will become another Syria, think of that folks, the Syrian Civil War has seen a death toll of a hundred thousand, the use of chemical weapons, Syrian refugees overwhelming Jordan, causing problems in Lebanon, Iraq, the growing power of Iran in the region, this leads to Israel coming under threat in the near future.  What if Al Qaeda gets a base in Egypt, this will return the Region to the bad days of the late 60s and 70s, Israel would be under constant threat from the Countries on its borders, but also with the added threat of Al Qaeda in to the mix, thus folks the Islamic threat has to be crushed, wiped out, otherwise the Oval will have a nightmare three years and half, look how old Jimmy Carter looked due to the Iran hostage crisis of 1979 - 81, President Obama already looks old, does he want to look ancient in 2017.

Lets Get Real:

The question that those reporting and commenting on Egypt have to ask, do they want a secular, moderate liberal Egypt, or do they want to see Egypt become another Iran, this could lead to the break in the Camp David Peace accords with Israel, a Islamic Egypt combined with the threat of a nuclear armed Iran would force Israel to act, thus it might be forced to strike Iran before it goes nuclear, these are the threats if the Muslim Brotherhood gets back in to power folks, thus the Egyptian Army will have to be tough, that is the nature of democracy, to preserve a future for a democratic Egypt the Army might needs a hand of steel in a soft glove.

BBC News: Reports on the clashes between supporters of the deposed President Morsi and those that protesters that lead to the fall of the President.

Lets Get Real: 

This is the time for the West to be very quiet, the Muslim Brotherhood was taking Egypt down the road to become the new Iran, a Country run on the Islamic faith, this would have been a disaster for Egypt and the West, and would have placed Israel in a very dangerous position.   The Oval should allow the Army of Egypt to come down hard on the supporters of Morsi, it is the time to break the back of the Brotherhood, also in new elections the Brotherhood should be forced to pledge that will support a secular ever a moderate liberal Egypt if they want to run in the fresh elections.  The Army and the Elite should define the game before the players are selected, if the Brotherhood will not agree to the new rules they should not be allowed to play.   The birth of democracy is no easy folks, sometimes it needs a steel hand in a soft glove, lets see how this works out folks. 

State TV and the Army - Egyptian Crisis

Telegraph Live - Egypt: Reports the following in its 2.58pm post, " Egypt's military has put officers in the newsroom of state TV in Cairo, while senior military commanders meet with opposition and religious leaders. All non-essential staff have been told to leave the state TV building, heightening the impression that an annoucement is imminent. ".

Lets Get Real:

Thus are we seeing democracy Egyptian style, the Muslim Brotherhood won a fair election last year, but they have failed to Govern for the whole of Egypt, they have put Party interest over State interest, thus the move to make Egypt more Islamic, this has caused the Middle Class to take to the streets, the economy is in the toilet, the recent violence in Egypt has put off tourists, thus high unemployment,   Lets see if a new leader can change the future of Egypt, but also keep the peace deal with Israel.   The US will have to keep a careful eye on Egypt for the near future, it can not afford another Syria.   The Arab Spring has turned very nasty and bloody, lets hope Egypt does not have a Civil War

Who Controls Egyptian TV - Crisis in Egypt

Guardian Live - Egypt: Reports the following in its 2.34pm post, " There continue to be conflicting reports about who controls state TV.  The source of the confusion appears to be whether the troops guarding the building are loyal to the president or the army. ".

Lets Get Real: 

What Egypt does not need a badly developed plan for a Coup, if the Egyptian Army has a plan it should follow through with it, and quick, a two Government structure could lead to a Civil War, those demonstrating do not want a Civil War, thus it can be argued that the Oval and US Defence Department should be telling the Army to act fast and get opposition leaders in who are ready to take charge, there should be fresh elections with an few months, those contesting the election should only be allowed to stand if they support a secular Egypt, even a moderate liberal Egypt, not if they want to turn Egypt in to another Iran.   Thus Egypt faces a crossroads, it either goes down the road of Turkey or Iran, lets see what the hours and days bring folks. 

Major Fault with ObamaCare - 2nd Term Blues

BBC News: Reports a major plank of ObamaCare will be delayed in till 2015, those small companies with over 50 workers will not have to cover them in till 2015, the individual mandate still stands. 

Lets Get Real:

This is political folks, the Oval is scared stiff of the 2014 Mid Term Elections, it does not want Democrats to lose more House seats, and this is on the card folks, also the Republicans could narrow the Democratic edge in the Senate.   The Oval is scared that the Republicans could even take the Senate, this would be a nightmare for the Oval, the House would repeal ObamaCare, it might even pass the Senate with a narrow Republican majority, then the Oval would have to veto the Bill.  Lets face it folks, after 2014 comes the run up to the 2016 Presidential Election, the only domestic achievement of President Obama is ObamaCare, if the Republicans take the Oval then ObamaCare is in danger of being repealed, this would not look good for the Obama legacy, Immigration reform could die in the House, there are still battles over the debt ceiling to come, thus folks it is not about Obama NOW, its about the future of the Democratic Party, thus the objectives of Obama and Congressional Democrats might not be the same thing folks, its about winning in 2014 and 2016.
