The New York Times: Reports on the latest results, the Democrats on 51 Seats hold the Senate while the Republicans are on 46, a gain of six. There are three more States to announce the result. Although the Republicans didn’t take the Senate they control what can get through, to move anything in the Senate you need 60 votes, if the Republicans keep together then the Senate is frozen. The real problem is for Democratic Senators that represent Conservative or Moderate States, will they prevent a Bill that revokes ObamaCare, will they uphold a Presidential veto by the Obama White House. In 2012 a majority of Democrats are up for re - election, are they willing to be flushed down the toilet to save the Obama Presidency. Its fun time again folks on the Hill.

The Mid Term Results - The Day After Part Three
The New York Times: Reports on the results on the 2010 Mid Term Elections, in the House the Republicans are on 239 Seats a gain of over sixty seats, the Democrats are on 183 with 13 Seats still to announce their results. In the House this a great result for the Republicans, it gives the House Republicans the mandate to bury the Obama Agenda. The 1st Bill out of the House should be a Bill to revoke ObamaCare, force the Senate Democrats to kill the bill or even better get President Obama to VETO the bill. Any big spending bills by the Oval are dead in the water, the Republicans in the House should go for smaller government reforms, low taxes, strong defence, all things that Obama is weak on before the 2012 elections. One Party rule is over folks, the founding fathers would be proud of the voter.

The GUIDE for the Night - Mid Term Elections
Guardian: A Guide to the 2010 Mid Terms, when to watch for latest poll results. If you’re a political geek its your night! Read of the Day.
Will Obama hurt Hillary Clinton in 2012 or 2016 ?
Telegraph: Has an interesting article that argues that a damaged Obama Presidency will hurt the political future of Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, the article states the following, “ The last 21 months have been a period of marked US decline, both at home and abroad,….”. The weakness of the Obama Presidency from its cowering appeasing of Iran to its hostile policy towards Poland, Czech Republic due to its restart policy with the Russian Bear has not gotten the Oval much in return, while Israel has been hung out dry by an Obama Presidency who thinks its press statements are the 10 Commandments. In many respects on reading the Jimmy Carter Diary one can see the arrogance of Jimmy Carter in the nature of President Obama. Thus the question Bill Clinton will be asking is when should Secretary Clinton knife Obama in the back, resign over Israel or Iran and run against him in 2012, do a Reagan of 1976. The one problem for the first " Black " President Bill Clinton is the fact that the African - American vote in the Democratic Party is very powerful, can Secretary Clinton afford to dump Obama without some political costs, or does Secretary Obama go down to defeat with Obama in 2012 and refuse his offer of the VP spot and then run in 2016, one of the best political operators is Bill Clinton, he will watch the returns tonight with great interest and looking at the political clock.
The Day After Part 2
The New York Times Blog: Reports that the day after the Mid Term Elections President Obama will hold a press conference to state that he understand the point of the election returns, the President will call for end of the political division and for the Parties to work together. In other words the Oval still does not get it, if Obama was serious about learning from the election defeat he would say that HE was sorry for going beyond his mandate and not stressing jobs, jobs and jobs, the problem with the Oval is the view that the US voter is thick and this vote in the Mid Terms is frightened vote, that if the voter had a brain cell they would see that the Obama’s economic package has saved jobs even with the unemployment at 9.6%. Also that health care reform is just as it covers those that didn’t have cover at the expense of those that do have cover, such as those that are old and those on a low level wage. If this is the Obama response to the Mid Term Election defeat he will join the club of one term Presidents, he will be another Jimmy Carter.

The Day After - November 3rd
Guardian: Reports that the Oval is getting read for the day after November 2nd, the article states the following on the expect result, “… the worst Democratic election results for a generation, a shift that could leave Washington gridlocked. ” . The problem for the Oval and the West Wing is that they are asking the wrong questions, Obama seems to think that if he had given another speech on health care reform then the thick US voter would get the fact that is was good for them, POTUS has to get beyond his how arrogance, that will be hard with a group YES men in the White House, Obama needs to clear his staff and bring in some veteran Washington types who can take him by the labels and wake him up and are not afraid of him and don’t think he is the smartest man in the room. Thus does Obama want a second term, if the Democrats on the Hill get the impression that Obama does not really care they will bury ObamaCare as fast as they can, those up for re-election in 2012 do not want lose their Seats due to arrogant and elite President who going down the toilet in 2012. Thus the question that Obama has to asked, does he want a second term, no other questions matter, it’s a simple YES/NO.
Latest House Projection - RCP
RCP: Reports on its latest House projection, the Republicans are on 224, while the Democrats have 167, there are 44 Seats that could go either way on Tuesday. Lets say for argument sake that all 44 50/50 Seats go to the Republicans, thus the Republicans would have 268 while Democrats would be stuck on 167, this would be a massive win for the Republicans and the Tea party movement, it would give the Republicans the Mandate to block the Obama Agenda, so no more spending by Obama, it would force POTUS to go to the centre or to his right if he wants any movement on the Hill. Thus the question that all commentators have asked can the Oval move to the centre as Bill Clinton moved in 1994, that will show the political quality of President Obama, is not when your Party controls the Presidency and the Hill that shows the power of the Oval, its when the Oval has to cut deals with the opposition party or face a frozen two years. President Obama has only two years to get his act together or face defeat in 2012.
