Lets Get Real:

The Duke of Sussex has been a silly boy with his frank biography, in that book the King came out well, the Prince of Wales, or as the Duke of Sussex called him, his arch nemesis got most of the negative flak, the Prince of Wales made the mistake of being born first, that is something that the Duke has never gotten over, the fact that Prince William will be out next King.  Thus the name of the biography " SPARE ".   The Royal Family has a history with this, the Duke of Windsor vs King George VI, King Charles vs the Duke of York, that is a lot of history.  Thus the War between the brothers should not be that much NEWS, well we do have a Monarchy, thus this kind of petty arguments get a lot of Press.   The King with his ill health does not need this, the brothers should make up, the Duchess of Sussex is the problem, does she have to come with the Duke when he visit's his father and family.

Lets Get Real:

One does really hope that there are not more revelations in the 557 pages of the SPARE, one assumes that Buckingham Palace will use the Sunday Broadsheets and the tabloids to set outs its own view of the previous history.  The line that memoirs might differ will not hold up, either Prince Harry is telling the truth or its a subjected TRUTH, and TRUTH these days is up to debate and one's own truth might be very different from reality, just ask Donald Trump.  At least the late Queen did not have to face this, she never set a foot wrong in public, what she would have said about this mess is open to debate.  The King really needs to get his son over from California and way from the Dutchess for a good talk, family is family after ALL, does Prince Harry want to really ruin the Royal Brand, as stated by this blog, the Duke of Sussex is making Duke of Windsor look like part of the Establishment, and the titles held by the Duke should be open to question, family secrets like the above should never come out!!

What do about the Sussex's, the latest salvo from California will not go down well with the King and the Prince of Wales, they have to set aside their personal views and hold up the Crown and the Royal Institution, the King has made it clear his love for his son, but these attacks and the forthcoming book will be closely read, already the Prince Harry has called his Father a liar, YES the King and stated his brother screamed at him when they discuss the Sussex's leaving the family firm, yes his brother is now the Prince of Wales.  This blog has come to the unfortunate view that at the titles of the Sussex's should be removed, if they are always sendings negative comments in to the book and TV, then they should have no titles at ALL. At least the Duke of Windsor waited 15 years before his book came out, that is a lifetime in the modern age.  At least her late Majesty was saved this, one does wonder what the Queen Mother would have made of it ALL, what was the point of 1936 and losing her husband early, this blog of late saw an article that showed how similar King Edward VIII, the Duke of Windsor was to Prince Harry, it can be postulated that the Windsor's learned the hard way that celebrate only lasted a few years, while the Crown goes on, the Sussex's children can be give titles later on if they want to become part of the firm, children do rebel, so it might happen.  The next few days will be all about the SPARE, thank goodness Prince of Wales was born first, in time he will make a fine King William V and his son, George VII.

BBC News - Live Blog: Reports the following in its 1pm post, " Prince Harry described how "it was terrifying to have my brother scream and shout at me" during a family summit at Sandringham in 2020, when the Royal Family discussed his plan with Meghan to step down as senior royals....Harry also described an occasion when he was blocked from seeing the Queen - saying this showed "when a family and a family business are in direct conflict"

Enough is ENOUGH, the King need to put a stop this ROYAL SOAP OPERA, the Duke of Sussex makes the Duke of Windsor look like part of the ESTABLISHMENT.  That comment should tell you enough on how this blog views the action by the Duke of Sussex.  If the Sussex Family are show critical of the British Royal Family, well then it's time to cut bait, remove ALL the TITLES, let them be Mr and Mrs Windsor, if that is what they want.  As for the Sussex children if later on they want to be part of the firm, they can get the titles they should have had, but for the actions of their parents.  The latest episode of the Royal Soap Opera is a diversion when the UK needs it attention the public sector strikes, the cost of living crisis, inflation, the people on the whole support the Royal Family, but the Royal Firm needs to deal with the issues of the Sussex once and for all, either they shut up from now on or allow the House of Commons to remove their TITLES.

There are many similarities between Edward VIII, the Duke of Windsor  and Prince Harry, they youth were effected by on the Duke's part a strict Victorian up bringing, while Prince Harry saw his parents divorce, and his mother lose here HRH on her divorce, the Duke of Windsor was a playboy in the 1920s, while Prince got himself to one scrape after another, William is seen as the stable one.  On the other hand both Edward and Harry served their Countries during a time of WAR, Edward was in France, he was kept from anything really dangerous, while Harry went to Afghanistan twice, once on the ground and then in the air.   Then both meet Americans, who have been divorced, Edward needed Mrs Simpson, while Harry sees to need the backbone of his wife, Meghan Markle.  The Duke of Windsor was furious that his wife was not given the title of HRH, it seems about time that the Queen removed that from the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, they have to be shown that no one is bigger than the firm.

The civil servant who came up with the recollections may vary deserves to have nice Christmas card from the Queen, he or she could have added, it was long time ago and the Harry and Megan did not have access to present papers that would change the viewpoint.   In other words, normal English, Recollections is saying that the pair are not telling the truth, while my adding away from official papers, would have suggested they the Hollywood lights had blinded them.   As always this blog supports the Queen and the Crown, the Queen wants to cool things down, she has seen it all, Edward VIII, Diana, Princess of Wales, Prince Andrew, etc.  If in the future our future King George VII meets an American, someone needs to remind our future King, 1796, Prince George meet an American at the Vatican, secret Marriage, the Crown was not amuse to say the least.  Then 1936 and the Duke of Windsor, enough said.  One hopes that Duke and Duchess comes to their senses, self imposed EXILE, is not that good as the years pass, the people who do it miss the weather!

It seems that someone has the sense of the Obama staff not to allow the image of Obama meeting Rouhani, you never know when that kind of pic can come back to haunt you, lets recall that Tony Blair met Gaddafi of Libya, that UK PM Chamberlain met Hitler in Munich in 1938 and that the Duke of Windsor ( formally Edward VIII ) also met Hitler.   Rouhani is making the right noises for the liberal left wing press, but actions are needed from the Tehran Regime, we need to see that Iran will give up its plan to become a nuclear military power, only then can there be real talks, otherwise its Munich 1938 all over again folks.

These are historical documents folks, Edward VIII the future Duke of Windsor was the only King - Emperor ever to give up the throne, from the subjective perception of his subjects he chose love over duty. But reading this article it is interesting to see that one of the greatest love stories of the age was complicated, there were three people in this relationship, Edward VIII Wallis and Ernest Simpson. It has been argued with some justification that the Duke was weak man, and that the Crown and the Country was better off with the then Duke of York, the future King George VI, but on his relationship with Wallis the Duke stood his ground, got what he wanted, so the Duke was weak as his duties, but stubborn when it came to the affair of the heart, this blog does never questions the Crown.

Have seen old footages of the King when he was having a problem with his stammer, it painful to see even now folks, also as your humble correspondent also has stammer one can very much sympathise with the then Duke of York, he was never meant to be King, his urbane and charismatic brother David, Prince of Wales had the looks and the popularity, but love can make men do daft things, it can be very cold with the wrong woman. Thus it will be nice to see a film that shows how even Kings can overcome their problems, but lets be honest being symbol of the nation took it out of the King thus his early death in the 1950s, while the Duke of Windsor lived on in to the 1970s. Some things are never meant! And the cost when they tried is hard.

The more you get in to the detail of this idea, it just gets worse, as Bill Clinton ever had any self control, give me a break, what is going to be like with a new rock star in the White House, and he has to act like some unpaid Cabinet Member who has to get White House approval for all his actions. Does recall the Duke of Windsor after 1936, and that turned out well!! If Obama get Richardson in and quick, this is turning in to another Clinton Drama.

The New York Times: Mr Friedman gets to the crux of the Hillary problem, he writes the following in the Liberal Times, " My question: Is Obama considering Mrs. Clinton for this job in order to get her off his back or as a prelude to protecting her back? " The 2008 election race was a two year affair, if Hillary is at State then Obama wont face any problems in running in 2012, if Hillary is not at State and the economy is a mess, the Wars are still going in Iraq and Afghanistan then we could see Hillary do a Reagan as in 1976. In this day and age Foreign Policy is done from the White House, thus you get rid of Hillary at State, so no threat to a smooth run in 2012 and if its a mess on the domestic and international front you get cover from the Clintons. President - Elect Obama has learned Chicago rules well, but this is the Clintons, they are the original mean machine, will they think better for Hillary to stay in the Senate and wait for Obama to become less popular as a result of the above and run in 2012. Also lets be honest reader can you seen Obama supporting Clinton or wanting all the credit on the International Front, he is the new rock star, he does not need a Secretary who is measuring the Drapes of the Oval Office for a possible Presidential run.
