It is about time Trump smelled the coffee and the Russia Bear close by, Russia is not a friend of the US and Europe, it is the enemy, it invaded the Ukraine in 2022 and still there, droning every night.  It is about time Trump placed sanctions on Putin, the Russian President thinks he has Trump as a pawn, and will agree with all his demands.  Is this a new day?   The Russian President has played ever US President since Bill Clinton, he is Mr KGB, he play's on every Presidential weakness, wanting to be seen as a peacemaker and great, Trump is the latest, we shall see what Moscow makes of the change.

 Guardian Reports that President Putin of Russia has suggested thar the Ukraine be placed under the UN, as to allow for elections in the Ukraine.

Lets Get Real:

This is a way for Putin to replace Zelensky with someone more favourable to the Russians.   IT is a cheek, Putin is the dictator, and warmonger, he invaded the Ukraine in 2022 and is estimated to have lost a million killed.   The Trump Oval is fawning over Putin, the coalition of willing must defend the Ukraine, No matter the cost.

Putin makes more demands after he has agreed to a deal, it is an old Russian tactic.  The Russians had agreed a deal with the US over a ceasefire in the Black Sea, but after the White House released information on the deal, there came demands for sanctions to be released.   Sir Keir is calling fore more tougher sanctions, on this the Labour PM is right, its the rest of Europe that worries this blog, will they want to appease Russia, time will tell, a new security dawn has developed, the US under Trump is no longer the security guarantee it was, times change and show must our perceptions.

This is when the car hits the road, will the UK and France follow through with the troops on the ground, troops and air cover.  The French are talking about a reassurance force, sounds soft to this blog, and the UK wants the US involvement, Trump has been pretty clear that is not going to happen.   This is 1947 all over again but in reverse, the US is saying it will not defend the Ukraine, and that it will be up to the Brits and the coalition of the wiling.   Why Sir Keir has to use that term, reminds one of Iraq in 2003.  This is time to show some backbone, stand up to Putin.

This is something for Trump to  crow about, also re - direct the press hounds from the WhatsApp security scandal.  We shall see what the Ukraine gets from the deal, it is still looking for an security back stop,  either the US or Europe. The readout from the White House makes it clear that the Trump Oval does not want to be the security back stop in the event of something going wrong, and it will with Putin charge of Russia.

I wonder who the US supports in the row, normally with Trump it is the Russians, it will be interesting to get the view from from Kyiv.  ONE hopes with the WhatsApp row, the Trump NSC, is carful who it burns, the Trump Oval has to be tough with Russia, Putin is masterful manipulator, Trump is not.
