Long Post: Those kind to read this blog, might have noticed that this blog has not covered UK politics for a while.  The reason is simple, this blog agrees we are heading for an election in 2024/25 and that Labour under Sir Keir Starmer will win.  The Conservative Party under Boris left our loyal friends in Afghanistan with no protection, and we still have the boat problem, the Sunak Government does not want to deal with the issue.   Also after 13/14 years in power, the Conservatives are tired of Government and it will take a good political loss to shake the Party up, it will be like 1997 again, a huge Labour Majority, and in for 1 or 2 terms.

Lets Get Real:

This blog supported the then PM Cameron during the coalition Government and the General Election of 2015, this blog broke with Cameron over his views on the EU, this was a Brexit blog and still is.  The Conservative Right will have to watch FCO under Cameron like a hawk, no weakening on our Brexit stand.  The FCO has always been weak, from appeasement to the EU, Lady Thatcher did not truest the FCO, and with good reason.  As a political move, WHY NOT, DC is good on the TV, still out there is the Gaza War and the Ukraine.  As stated the election will be next year, Labour will win, and DC will have a nice Seat in the House.  Not all political careers end in failure.

Lets Get Real:

Thus another clear message to Iran, BACK OFF, Iran and their terrorist franchise  groups are hitting US troops in a regular manner, at some point Biden will be forced by Iran  to take the WAR to Iran, the Biden Oval has moved two carrier fleets in to the region, the Eisenhower and the Gerald R. Ford, should the Oval feels it has to hit Iran hard its has plenty choices.  POTUS must be worried that Iran will try something in 2024, declare it has the bomb or push Hezbollah to take the WAR to Israel.  The problem is that Biden is seen as weak, thus does not rise fear in the region.  The next few months will be interesting.

Sky News - Live Blog: Reports in its 12.07am post the following, " IDF claims to strike Hezbollah target in Lebanon...The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) released a video on Wednesday claiming to show a strike on a building that they said was being used by Hezbollah militants in farmland near the Lebanese towns of Kafr Kila and Khiam.   The IDF has also claimed it targeted various Hezbollah positions on Tuesday, and that two IDF soldiers were injured on Wednesday morning while exchanging cross-border fire near the Israeli border town of Dovev.  "

Lets Get Real:

The Head of Hezbollah stated that the attacks on 7th of October was all done by HAMAS, and that Hezbollah had no part in the attacks.  In other words Hezbollah threw Hamas UNDER THE BUS.  It should there is no honour among terrorists, it also protected Iran, since then we have seen low level attacks from Lebanon, does Iran want to up cause problems for Israel on its border with Lebanon.  Does Tehran want to show it is part of the fight, just to show its friends that it can be counted upon should a war break out in the region, the speech was done by a recorded interview, the Hezbollah leader is coward, he was afraid that Israel would take him out, it goes with the job of being terrorist.  One still thinks Iran does not want a WAR yet, one is expecting it to declare itself a nuclear armed power at some point, that would frighten the West.

Hostages Deal ? - Israel - Gaza War - Biden Era

BBC News - Live Blog: Reports in its 5.12pm the following post, " A source familiar with talks over the fate of the hostages taken by Hamas has told the BBC discussions are taking place over the release of 12 hostages, half of them Americans, in exchange for a three-day humanitarian pause "

Lets Get Real:

The Israeli PM has stated that there would be no pause as long as Hamas HELD HOSTAGES, well the release of 12 out of 240 seems mean, HAMAS it seems want to get rid of the Americans, taking American hostages was a mistake, this brings in the US and their aircraft carriers, who could help Israel in Gaza and also strike Iran should Tehran's franchise terrorist group in Lebanon start to make further trouble.   Hamas will want a long pause, to rebuild their group in Gaza and get ready for further strikes in Gaza from Israeli Planes after the pause.  The World Press would have access to Gaza and see the destruction done by Israel, thus more pressure for a ceasefire from the World Community.

Israeli ground forces have divided the Gaza Strip in two after reaching the Mediterranean Sea.....The area south of Gaza City is around 7km (four miles) wide and groups of IDF tanks and troops can be seen across the whole strip.  "

Lets Get Real:

The tough fighting will be in Gaza City and the tunnels built by Hamas, it is presumed that the hostages taken on 7th of October are being held in the tunnels.  The Israeli Government has made it clear that there will be no pause in the fighting in till the hostages are released.  The Israeli Government does not want to give HAMAS a chance to breath and rebuild its forces.   In this they are supported by the UK and the US.   Hamas wants to get Israeli Forces in to the metro tunnels and inflict major casualties on them, so far Israel has played this War with great strategy, let's recall that it was Hamas that stated this WAR, the Israeli Government has playing by the rules of war, no matter what the left in the UK and the US think. 

Should POTUS run in 2024 ? - 2024 Candidate/General Election in 2024

 Something completely different. Back to US politics:

The Hill: Reports that a former Special Advisor David Axelrod to President Obama has advise POTUS to rethink about running in 2024,    "  Axelrod says this is ‘last moment’ for Biden to check if he should drop out....in the wake of a new poll showing Biden trailing former President Trump in key swing states, said Biden needs to decide if it’s wise to continue his run. The poll found Biden trailing Trump in five out of six battleground states, including Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada and Pennsylvania.  "

Lets Get Real:

This blog is only supporting Biden in 2024 because he supports funding the Ukraine, the Republican Party is opposed to funding and the American people have shown a marked reluctance for further monies to Kyiv.  The American people support funding Israel, even if the left of the Democratic Party is opposed.  The Biden White House wants to link Israel and the Ukraine funding, thus battle royal on the Hill.  If Trump is forced out  of the race because of the TRIALS he faces, then a Reagan Republican can come to the fore.  The US does not want a re-match between Trump and Biden, its enough to make someone drink more.  If Trump and Biden can be forced out, then the US voters can have real choice of who they want, otherwise a nightmare of an election that no wants. 

US Domestic Front - The Republicans vs Biden on Israeli - Gaza War - Biden Era

Guardian - Live Blog: Reports in its 11.11pm post the following, " Republicans advance Israel funding without Ukraine, defying Biden....In the US, the Republican-led lower chamber of Congress has passed a $14bn aid package for Israel, defying President Joe Biden’s request to also include more money for Ukraine and other pressing priorities.  "

Lets Get Real:

Thus the Republicans will sell the message that they will FUND ISRAEL, while the Democrats will have to defend voting against it and supporting the IRS, that will go down well with voters.   How much further does POTUS want to fall in the polls, President wants to run for re-election, how long before senior Democrats start thinking about running against him.   If the polls are correct, then Biden is toast, the American people think he is to old and WRONG to often.  The American people support  funding Israel  but no the Ukraine, POTUS if he was younger would be out every day saying why Ukraine funding is important.  Putin cannot be allowed to win and Israel will always need the protection of the US and the West.
