US answers Russian Demands TODAY - New Cold War 2/ WW3

CNN - Politics: Reports " Biden admin to send Russia written responses as soon as Wednesday "

Lets Get Real:

The two main Russian demands are that UKRAINE never joins NATO and that NATO troops are removed from East European States in NATO, those Countries that were part of the old Warsaw Pact.  The simple answer to the Russians is NO and Hell NO, but course the US State Department will put it in diplomatic language, what the US can offer is TALKS on a new INF Treaty that the Russians broke numerous times before and agreement on when military games will take place.  It will be up to the Russians to respond, if Putin wants a face saving way out of this crisis that is a GOOD DEAL.  Of course the latest threat by Russian to take appropriate measures if they do not get what they want will call for NATO to place NATO troops in Poland and the Baltic States.  One hopes Russians are just playing games, it could cost them if they take the wrong path.

Lets Get Real:

The Russians should not make threats they cannot carry out, if the West were to take the above as REAL, then NATO would have to send a military build up to Poland and the Baltic States.  The Russian President is ACTING more like Hitler every day, is this his Munich 1938, does he want a REAL WAR and thus is pushing his demands, does he really think he can win a WAR against NATO.  One would have to be MAD to think that, or is he bluffing, at what point does he pull back, is he waiting for an answer to his written demands before invading, that is a open question.  The Russian Army if it tried its luck in the Baltic States or Poland would face the full FORCE of NATO.  Neither side want that, so what is the cut off point for Putin, what does he really want, just to absorb East Ukraine in to Russia, or does he want more, the West awaits!

A more limited ACTION by Russia in the Ukraine - New Cold War 2/WW3

Lets Get Real:

This blog is not a military expert and this article sounds right on the nose, a limited or focused attack would allow the Russian Federation to absorb East Ukraine and get a land border between the East and Crimea.  Thus a limited operation would place the Biden Oval in a BIND, does it go for massive sanctions on Putin and on Russian economy, does it try to bring the Russian economy to its knees, it has been noted that PUITN over the years has tried to create a buffer between Western sanctions and the Russian economy as to prevent the Russian economy being bought to its knees.  Also if Putin cuts off gas to the West he will lose the money and also the US and the WEST will seek other outlets for its gas needs.  Thus in the long term the Russian Government will lose its money from the West.   It's a matter of waiting to see what PUTIN DOES.

Lets Get Real:

This will WARN Putin that any attack on NATO Countries will LEAD to WW3, the problem is not that, Putin is not that far gone, well one hopes, the problem is the Ukraine, one can expect that Putin will invade after the West gives its formal NO to Russian demands, that the Ukraine never joins NATO and that NATO troops are removed from East Europe States in NATO.  The Russian firepower, land and sea is for a quick kill, that is brutal but that what Putin wants, he wants to absorb the Ukraine back in to the Russia, he wants the OLD USSR back, for that to work Putin will have to go after the BALTIC STATES and Poland.  The Biden Oval does not have the guts to send US troops in to Ukraine, that would really STOP PUTIN in his tracks, what he can do is make so that any Ukraine insurgence is supported by the West, Biden can make Russia bleed, as Reagan did in supporting the insurgence in Afghanistan after 1981.  Thus there are more diplomacy, the UK Defence Secretary will visit Moscow, one hopes that the Russians have the courtesy not to invade the Ukraine if the Defence Minister is in town.  Thus after the formal reply from the West and the departure of the UK Minister one can expect a quick strike, the question is will the Ukraine fight, one saw what happened in Afghanistan, one's hopes are really with the Ukraine Army and people.

Lets Get Real:

If POTUS wanted to STOP the Russian Bear invading the Ukraine, there is a simple answer, send 50,000 troops to the West of the Kiev, and say, this far and no further.  Also take the US to defcon 3 ( military Status of US Forces ), and making it know that decision has been made, also get the US long range bombers in to the air, just outside the Russian border.   This would make Putin pause, he would have to consider the FACT that POTUS might have woken up or he was getting better advice.  President Putin sees tis as his chance to reform the band, e.g the USSR.  There will be no better time, WEAK Western leaders, and the EU has internal problems, the Germans don't want to annoy Germany because they get their gas from Russia.  The idea of World War 3 breaking out is remote, Putin has it has been alleged a young family and a nice home to retire too, he wont have that if it turns in to WW3.  Thus Putin is pushing his luck to see how far he can go and if any one will STOP him.

Lets Get Real:

The QUESTION everyone is ASKING, will Putin invade, well having one hundred and twenty seven thousand Armed and Navy personnel on the Ukraine is one hell of a ego boost, if that is all it is.  The Kremlin must be looking at a weak President in the Oval Office and a scandal prone PM in 10 Downing Street, thus if your Putin you must be thinking, is it worth a punt, on averages it look good, but then what about the sanctions, will they bring the Russian economy to its knees, over the past few years the Putin Government has attempted to prevent such shocks hitting the Russian economy, but heavy sanctions would have a long term effect.  On the other hand Putin would have the Ukraine.  The idea of going after the Baltic States or Poland should be a no go even for Putin, it would lead to Word War 3.  Thus it can be postulated that Putin will go for the Ukraine, but then stop, of course when you start a WAR plans go out of the window.  Let's recall the USSR invaded Afghanistan in 1979, the local insurgence was supported by the Reagan Administration, and the USSR was forced out in 1988/89.  Thus Putin is taking a major risk.

UK Embassy Staff LEAVE the Ukraine - New Cold War 2/WW3

BBC News: Reports on remarks by the UK PM, " Speaking as the Foreign Office pulled some embassy staff out of Ukraine, the PM said the situation is "pretty gloomy" but war was not inevitable.  "

Lets Get Real:

Thus the UK and the US are getting its Embassy Staff out, this is not a good sign, one would assume the NSA and GCHQ are reading the latest Russian secret intelligence, if they are not why are spending so much on them!! The Russians are waiting for the official reply to their demands, as expected the West will say NO to the main demands, that the Ukraine never joins NATO and that Eastern States IN NATO have NATO troops removed.  Thus what will PUTIN do, one expects use these refusals as a reason to invade the Ukraine, the massive troop deployments by the Russians on the borders leads to postulate that Putin is going for the whole of the Ukraine.  The US and NATO Countries then will send deployments to the BALTIC STATES and Poland.  The West will also keep supplying the Kiev Government with military support, then it gets tricky, will Russian planes shoot down supply planes, will the supply planes have fighter cover. Of course the NATO Countries could use the border between the Ukraine and Poland as a access point for supplies, how will PUTIN react to that problem.  The larger the invasion the more chance of WW3 breaking OUT.
