Bush 41 on Bush 43 - The Biography

The New York Times: Reports on a new biography of Bush 41" Where Meacham breaks new and startling ground is reporting how needlessly harsh Bush 41 thought the rhetoric was, including Bush 43’s characterization in 2002 of Iraq, Iran and North Korea as an “axis of evil.” And for that tone Bush 41 largely blames Dick Cheney, defense secretary during his own administration and a man Bush 41 believed had grown more hawkish over time,.."

Lets Get Real:

One can almost say that Bush 41 is spinning for his son, that he blames Cheney and co for the War in Iraq and the tough tone of the Bush 43 Administration.  It is what liberals having been hoping for  in essence for different reasons, the left and right want to blame those around Bush 43 for the failed War in Iraq.  For Bush 41 the Republican establishment it is about showing that Iraq does not belong on the Bush 43 legacy, while for the left they want to see a green President being lead to war by his more talented team around him.   In essence they are both right, but they failed understand one point, at the end of the day Bush 43 was President, he chose these men and women around him, thus Iraq is a Bush Legacy for both Bush's, father and son.

Government CUTS to Spending - UK Finance

BBC News: Reports " Four government departments have provisionally agreed to cut their spending by an average of 30% over the next four years, Chancellor George Osborne has announced. "

Lets Get Real:

The UK HAS to cut the welfare state, its either the State or a society that bankrolls lower payment to workers and creates a cycle that does not allow people to get back to work.   On the other hand the Conservative Government has to be smart, it should not give ammo to the left wing groups, such as the BBC and the Guardian.  It does not need pictures of those that have a disability from the physical to the mental outside No 10 protesting at government cuts.    The working worker wants those that have never worked or used the system to get something for nothing.   The Labour Party is not a real threat, the real threat comes when the Government thinks it can do what it likes, the defeat in the House of Lords over tax credits shows what happens when the government take its eyes off the ball.   Thus the Conservative government has to be clever, and always see the left as a threat. 

Corbyn ATTACKS the UK Military - Corbyn Mania

BBC News: Reports " Jeremy Corbyn has accused the chief of the defence staff of political bias after he criticised the Labour leader's anti-nuclear stance. "

Lets Get Real:

Another mistake by Jeremy Corby attacking the army on the the day we remember those that have died while serving in the forces at the time of War and Crisis.   The Labour voters who supported Corby DO not represent the Country and for the most part the MPs within the Labour Party.    The Conservative should write back to Jeremy Corbyn and remind him that his request are foolish and the Army head is talking more common sense that the left wing out of touch Labour Leader.   The Labour Party elected Jeremy Corbyn, he is their problem, and as long as he is Opposition leader the problem will not go away in the near future.

Doctor Who Review - The Zygon Inversion

Doctor Who News: Reports " 4.13 million viewers watched Doctor Who: The Zygon Inversion, according to unofficial overnight viewing figures.  "

Lets Get Real:

This was a cracking episode, it has all the elements of a classic episode, the Doctor was in his passions about wanting peace, and his two header with Zygon leader, played by Jenna Coleman had a great debate with the Doctor, but as stated this blog does not do spoilers.   The writers have their brains connected for stories that allow modern problems to be dealt with but in fashion that is a good old fashioned adventure, thus the beheadings now a plane blowing up, in fact this two parter should be shown in schools, as always the Doctor is about peace and understanding, something we humans fail to understand in every Century.   Hat off to the cast and writers of Doctor Who, makes you think, that can not be said of most TV shows at the present. 

UK reaction to Daesh and the BOMBED plane

BBC News: Reports " All flights between the UK and Sharm el-Sheikh have been suspended on Wednesday evening as UK experts assess security at the Egyptian airport. "

Lets Get Real:

The UK Government has to make sure before any tourists are returned to the UK that their planes  are safe.  If that is not a 100%, no chance should be taken, the tourists should be taken home by land, through Israel, their airports are 100% safe.   The UK has to place more pressure on Daesh in Iraq and help with the problem in Syria with drones and have our pilots in the airplanes of our allies.   The threat of Daesh is ever growing, how many places can you bomb in Syria, the West needs to take back land in Syria and Iraq.   This is going to be a long War. 

The UK and Egypt - After Russian Crash

 10 Downing Street: Reports. " While the investigation is still ongoing we cannot say categorically why the Russian jet crashed. But as more information has come to light we have become concerned that the plane may well have been brought down by an explosive device.

In light of this and as a precautionary measure we have decided that flights due to leave Sharm for the UK this evening will be delayed. That will allow time for a team of UK aviation experts, currently travelling to Sharm, to make an assessment of the security arrangements in place at the airport and to identify whether any further action is required. We expect this assessment to be completed tonight.

In terms of flights from the UK to Sharm, there are no more departures today.

We would underline that this is a precautionary step and we are working closely with the airlines on this approach. The Prime Minister will chair a COBR at 6:45pm to review the situation and we will provide an update after that meeting. "

Lets Get Real:

IT can be postulated that new information came from sources within UK intelligence, the Government must make sure that ALL flights from Sharm are safe for British citizens.   There must also be pressure on Egypt to upgrade its security for the region.  Thus far Egypt and Russia have been quite about this development, as stated in previous blog they have had reasons for the crash to be seen as technical, in the Russian case its attacks on Daesh in Syria, they do no want to see a connection between the two, and in the case of Egypt they need tourists to come to Egypt, if it was a bomb, this will hit the tourist trade.  This is developing story. 

The UK and Syria - Syrian Crisis

BBC News: Reports " An influential Commons committee has urged David Cameron not to press ahead with a vote on UK air strikes against Islamic State militants in Syria. "

Lets Get Real:

The murky world of Syria has become even more dense with the Russians coming to join the fight, it can be argued that Western Forces and Russian Forces should never be this close, it only takes a hot shot Russian pilot or a missile commander to shoot a missile that hits either Western planes or Western ground troops in Syria, it has already been stated by the US that they are sending special forces in to Syria, one can assume that US forces are already there, that is the same with the SAS.   Thus the UK should keep out of this mess for the near future, its going to get worse in Syria, sooner or later the UK and the US will have to send in ground forces to Syria and Iraq, lets not rush that moment.
