Doctor Who WINS for the BBC - Saturday Ratings

The Doctor Who News Page: Reports that Episode Three of the new season of Doctor Who; The Curse of the Black Spot; had a rating of 6.2 Million viewers. This was a great episode, it was fun, dramatic, also showed that the Doctor gets things wrong in a big way, also like the arc of the overall story coming through, who is that lady with the ( Spoiler ), this blog has come to a dramatic conclusion, what if Amy is River? But could River be with her younger version, only Time Lords are allowed that in exceptional circumstances, it’s the 1st Law of Time that should never be broken. Loved the idea of Pirates in the 17th Century going off in a space ship, hope they come back, they are fun characters, would not trust them with my money, but fun.

Greece OUT of the Euro ?

Guardian: Reports on a rumour coming out of Germany that Athens wants to leave the Euro. This would for the Greeks be the best thing, they should default on their debts and start again, develop a new currency and a lose relationship with the EU. The debt problems of Portugal, Ireland, Greece and Spain could wreck the Euro and take down the EU. It time to clean house, default on the Sovereign Debt and give tax concessions to those that are hurt, or future bonds, but stop the economic blood going out of the PIGS. The Markets should force this if these Government are to weak, the cost for borrowing by these countries should be set so high that the PIGS can not afford to borrow, this would force reform within these countries. It times to take the PIGS to market and get some good bacon, before the bacon goes rotten.

Political Knifes out for White House Press Secretary = Jay Carney

Telegraph: Reports that Washington D.C gossip is that the new White House Press Secretary Jay Carney is unfit for purpose. Having seen Mr Carney on TV one has to say one can understand why the White House Press are out for his political blood. Mr Carney has a press background therefore the Press expect a certain level of competence, but the White House has been a shambles in telling the story of the death of OBL. It takes some doing to make he US seem the bad guys in the operation, but the lack of a clear chronology and different versions of the story has lead to conspiracy theories on US actions. Also lets recall folks, its re-election year next year, thus POTUS really needs to look at his press department, he does not need 2nd class press secretaries, in politics you have to be a good political butcher, in other words sack Mr Carney.

The End Result - Election Day Review

BBC News: Reports on Election Day Results. Well folks it was a very good night for the Conservative Party, in Wales the Conservative Party gained 14 Seats, making them the 2nd Party of Wales after the Labour Party on 30 Seats. In the English Local Elections it was a miracle folks, thus far the Conservatives have added 81 ( as of 8.10pm ) Council Seats to their numbers, the Labour Party has gained 800 Council seats but this was at the expense of the Liberal Democrats and others. The Conservative Party overall had 35% of the vote to Labours 37%. Before the election night it was expected that the Tories would lose hundred of seats, this has not happened. Thus a great night for Coalition PM David Cameron. Also the Conservative Party with support of half of the Labour Party has won the NO vote in the AV referendum, a major defeat for the Liberal Democrats and Ed Miliband the Labour Leader. On the whole election night was a disaster for the Liberal Democrats, the junior partner in the Coalition Government has been battered in England, Wales and Scotland, there have been calls by some in the Liberal Democrats for the Party to have more of a distinct persona in the Government, this would be a mistake, your either in Government or not, that is the choice faced by Lib Dems. On the whole A+ for the Conservatives, C- for the Labour Party and D- for Lib Dems.

Obama a Monster over OBL DEATH = Labour Ken Livingston

Guardian: Reports the Labour Left winger, and Labour Candidate for Mayor of London Ken Livingston has called POTUS a monster for killing OBL and not his arrest. As predicted the left wing has come out to attack the manner of taking down OBL. The left wing would have had the Pakistan Police turn up on his doorstep with an arrest warrant and hope for the best, that is why the liberals and left wing did not have power in the 1980s, can you see them winning the Cold War. Thus this is a test for the new Labour Leader Ed Miliband, will he slap down the left wing Livingston, one can not see the old New Labour putting up with this kind of rubbish. Lets see what “ Red ” Ed Miliband does, or does the nickname fit the Labour Leader.

Torture Works = The finding of OBL

Telegraph: Reports that the CIA used, and lets be clear here, it was torture, but is called enhanced interrogation techniques to gleam information that lead to the killing of OBL. This shows that the torture policies of Bush 43 worked, its not nice that it had to be done folks, the US Government had to protect its citizens and not worry about the troubled soul of New York Times or Guardian readers. The banning of torture by the Obama Administration could lead to missed chances to prevent other attacks, lets hope there are off the books, off the reservations locations that do the dirty business that protects the West. This blog can live with that policy, and sleep well with that hope.
