The Customs Union and the House of Commons - Brexit Update 2 - Post Brexit

Lets Get Real:

The pro remainers in the Conservative Party have to understand, that they are getting what they want, the UK is leaving the EU in a official manner, but we are keeping the rules, the immigration debate is over, those from the EU that come to the UK after 2019 will have the same rights are before, the UK will still be under the ECJ.   The fact that the Pro remainers have won should worry the hard brexit supporters, they have been sold out, the hard brexit supporters should vote to have a no confidence vote in the PM.   The UK has been sold OUT.

May's message to the EU - Brexit Update - Post Brexit

Lets Get Real:

The question faced by the EU is simple, if they are to easy on the UK then other countries will want to leave the EU, if they are to HARD then the UK will have a HARD Brexit, something neither side want.   The UK in many ways is leaving the EU in  name only, we might be out of the Single Market and the Customs Union but we will still be under the ECJ.   Also some Conservative rebels might vote with Labour to keep the UK in the Customs Union.    Thus far the Conservatives had been united is praise of the May speech, the devil is in the details, how long will peace last.

The Show that is Donald Trump - Trump Era

Lets Get Real:

After Brexit, lets have some fun, the Donald is always watchable!! The idea that President Trump would need his Chief Staff to get rid of his daughter and son in law is just funny.  One does not see the Trump as weak, he would fire them if he wanted too.   The once respected CNN has gone further down the hole, it is now reporting gossip, what happened to that once great network.  CNN is has a constant bashing rhetoric when it comes to POTUS, after a time people just get bored with it, time for CNN to return to its good background, being a news outlet!!! Fox news is more balanced.

May on Brexit - Brexit Update 4 - Post Brexit

Lets Get Real:

It can be argued that the May speech will face reality when it comes to the EU, will they see it as  a SOFT Brexit, in other words, keeping the UK as a member of the EU without that being on the tin.   The PM from the reaction from both the remainers and hard brexit supporters gave a good speech.   The question is in the detail, there still Northern Ireland, how to make sure there is no HARD Border, but making sure that the Northern Ireland can keep to the Good Friday Agreement.   There are more battles to come, at home and with the EU, this is just the start.

May on the Customs Union - Brexit Update 3 - Post Brexit

Lets Get Real:

Thus a typical English fudge on the Northern Ireland border, one can only hope that the EU goes with the deal, it would be small price for keeping the peace in Northern Ireland and keeping the UK tied to the EU.   The speech can be seeing as May wanting to get over the hill, that being the UK leaving the EU while leaving the future to a new leader of the Conservative Party.   One does wonder how the hard brexit supporters can support the May Government.

May on Brexit - Brexit Update 2 - Post Brexit

Lets Get Real:

IF the SOFT Brexit rebels support the May Speech then May has sold out the UK voter.  The UK voter will be asking why there was a vote in 2016, the PM wants a close link to the EU, we are leaving the EU in name only.   The UK will still be members of various EU bodies, and we will have to pay for it, also a new trade deal with the EU will cost the UK.  The Hard Brexit supporters should bring the May time in office to and end, a letter to the Chairman of the 1922 Committee requires 40 letters from MPs to have a no confidence vote in the leader.   The UK voter voted for Brexit to mean Brexit, a distance from the EU, this May speech gives to much to the EU and the soft brexit rebels in the Conservative Party.

May on Brexit - Brexit Update - Post Brexit

Lets Get Real:

The speech by the PM put this blogger to sleep, it was boring, and close reading of the details you wonder why are leaving, the May plan keeps the UK very close to the EU and we have to pay to be members of different bodies in the EU, you could almost ask why we are leaving.   The Brexit supporters have been very quiet, the deal looks a SOFT BREXIT, if the EU agrees, also the deal wanted by PM May is not like Canada or Norway, it would be Canada plus plus.   It will be interesting to see what the extreme sides in the Conservative Party say about the deal.  On whole this blogger is not that impressed, we will be still far too close to the EU, even if a new passports say we are out.
