Lets Get Real:

It is shock that that US troops are being wounded and it does not make the head of the news, lets us be honest here, Iraq and Syria stories do not get people to watch the news or click news sites for stories, it seems to be going on forever, after Obama withdrew US troops from Iraq we saw the birth of Daesh, that meant after taking forces out of Iraq the 44th President has to put them back in, so the the Wars he wanted to finish did not finish with President Obama, they have taken up another format, with Iraqi troops mostly doing the fighting and getting killed, while US Special Forces help with the air attack on Daesh.  The press should push the Oval on what is it going to do about Iraq and Syria, he promised change, well it time to show change and not play golf.

Lets Get Real:

One of the tests for President Trump and his term in Office will be how he plans to get rid of Daesh in Iraq and Syria.  On the Campaign trail Candidate Trump promised to destroy Daesh and to come up with a plan in 30 days of his taking office, so far the White House has been quite on that subject.   There are reports that the US Defence Department is considering sending in ground troops into Syria, as to help the the Western supported forces, this would cause problems, as Assad and Russia could cause problems, of course it might be in the interest of Assad and Russia to have ground troops in Syria, if they are fighting Daesh then Russia can say that the US and Russia are on the same side, while not overlooking the problems in East Ukraine.  It depends how far Trump is willing to go to WIN.

Golf and the Trump Era

Lets Get Real:

The modern trend of POTUS playing Golf started with Ike, since then nearly every President has found reasons to Golf, some have been known to cheat, it gets them away from the White House.  Of course President Trump has his own Golf Course, so he does not need to go far from home.   IF the Democrats are down to using golf against Trump they are in a BAD STATE.  It can be argued that you need a relaxed President in charge of the Western World.   It has been a slow news day, Trump must have lost his cell for texting or it has been hidden, things are getting back to normal. 

WHY HRC lost in 2016 - Clinton Era

Lets Get Real:

The Clinton Camp have to learn that the reason that HRC lost in 2016 was simple, she was a BAD CANDIDATE, the US voter would accept anyone else but her, she was seen as part of the bad political system that had done nothing for Main Street and allowed for the near Banking collapse of 2008,  and it was not the first time, in 2008 when Obama came along the HRC Camp could not win against him, as he promised a new start, it did not work out, but then it was seen as a chance.   The question next for the HRC camp is what next, the idea than she run for Mayor of New York is not out there, it would be a REAL job, she could try to help the poor and women in New York.   It depends how HRC wants to finish her political career.  IF there are those that suggest that she runs in 2020, they should be barred from the Clinton Court, few pols have third acts, Ronald Reagan was the exception, he ran in 1968, 1976, then finally successfully in 1980, with all great respect, HRC is no Reagan.

Hillary Clinton and the Uber Liberal Arts - Trump Era

Lets Get Real:

It is not that usual for the uber liberal arts in the US to be so forgiving for an ACT that has bombed with the public, HRC has had the Presidency twice in her grasp, in 2008 but lost out to President Obama and then 2016 to President Trump.   In New York the arts must have developed a thinner coat, HRC could be have been President twice over, in 2016 President Clinton, a man who knows a thing or two about winning elections told the HRC campaign to focus on white men, they went instead with their data, as a commentator on CNN stated, data does not VOTE.   The US voter in the rust belt firmly rejected HRC, even the TV series Homeland made the mistake of having a Alt Female winning the Presidency. Of course HRC could be thinking about running as Mayor of New York, that would be fun, she could annoy the hell out of President Trump, turning up at Trump Tower to say the light fixtures do not match the local codes, you get the idea.   At the end of the day HRC will always have the art crowds as supporters. 

NSA McCmaster - Trump Era

Lets Get Real:

The appointment of Lt General H.R. McMaster will go down well with the State and Defence Department, also it should go down with critics of the Trump Administration, the article makes it clear that the General thinks outside the box and is not afraid to be critical of those higher up the Chain of Command.   It should be noted as the article states that McMaster wrote a " Dereliction of Duty, a book that was openly critical of what he saw to be a failed military leadership during the Vietnam War.  "  This should hearten those who have been critical of Trump, the mess that is the Middle East will need outside the box thinking.   Also what do about North Korea and Iran will be a constant a problem for the Trump Administration over the next four years.   Thus a good move Trump, and today there is less published Tweets, could the Oval be learning!!!

Trump and Immigration - Trump Era

BBC News: Reports " The Trump administration has issued tough guidelines to widen the net for deporting illegal immigrants from the US, and speed up their removal. "

Lets Get Real:

This blog supports what the Gipper said on the Immigration, he supported Amnesty for illegals in the US, the Trump Administration is appealing to its base when it comes to its tough immigration policy.    The Trump Administration so far has not removed the protection of those illegals that were bought to the US when young by their parents.   One can only hope that Christian charity comes to mind of the new Administration, if those illegals have served in the US Army, or done well in school and are helping in the Community they should be allowed to stay.    The US is a melting pot of immigration, today is not the day to show its back to those in need.
