Trump a THREAT to NATO - Election 2016

Guardian - US Politics Live: Reports the following in its 4.36pm post, " President Trump would wind back US leadership in NATO, the candidate said..“Ukraine is a country that affects us far less than it affects other countries in NATO and yet we’re doing all of the lifting,” Trump said. “They’re not doing anything. And I say, ‘Why is it that Germany’s not dealing with NATO on Ukraine? Why is it that other countries that are in the vicinity of Ukraine, why aren’t they dealing? Why are we always the one that’s leading, potentially the third world war with Russia.’”

Lets Get Real:

The above shows why Donald Trump is unfit to be President and why Moscow is playing nice when it comes to Trump.   The kind of leadership suggested by Trump would return the US back to its isolation period of the 1920s, when the US abdicated its natural right to lead the West, of course that lead to World War 2.    The above statements make Obama and HRC look like Republican hawks,   The US voter is peeved with Washington D.C but does it really want to give up its leadership, Obama has been weak and look at the World.   Thus the Republican Establishment, IF there is one, needs to come up with a great idea and fast, the problem is WHAT and WHO?. time will tell.   There is no Reagan in the field, a contested convention would allow the Party to pick someone not even running. Interesting days ahead.

No UK Benefit Cuts for those on disability benefits - UK Government

Lets Get Real:

The Conservative Government has done a u- turn over cuts to disability benefits and withdrawn the plan.   The one good thing about the Coalition Government was the fact that the Liberal Democrats could block bad ideas, and even worse BAD politics by a Conservative Government.   The Conservatives had gotten over the image as the nasty party and it has blow it over the weekend, the PM on down must think before they ACT, the political implications of their actions and how much of a vote loser it is to the Party.   IT might be an idea to reform the Coalition Government, the Liberal Democrats have nothing to lose, and they would enjoy returning to power.  It not that far out there, the Conservatives have a majority of 12, that will be reduced by by elections, why not fix the problem in advance. 

More US Troops to Iraq - Iraq Crisis

Mail on Sunday: Reports " A 27-year-old has been identified as the U.S. Marine killed in an ISIS rocket attack in Iraq as the Pentagon announced they would be sending in more troops on the ground.  "

Lets Get Real:

The US needs at least between ten to twenty thousand troops on the ground to take on Daesh in Iraq and Syria, the fight for big cities is going to be costly, one doubts that the present Iraqi Army has the history to fight Street to Street fights and house to house combat. This is one mistake that President Obama can correct, the US needs either troops or special forces on the ground, this blog does not care what the White House calls them as long as the troops are sent to combat daesh.  IF and after Daesh is defeated the US must keep a few thousand troops in Iraq, the cost of not having them has been seen, time for steady nerves at the White House before the fight really starts in Iraq and before the Presidential election in November. 

Obama in Cuba - Obama's Legacy Tour

BBC News: Reports " President Barack Obama has arrived in Cuba for a historic visit to the island and talks with its communist leader. "

Lets Get Real:

This visit by Obama is an attempt to cover up his failed Presidency, in the eight years of Obama the allies of the US have been let down by a Presidency who thinks he knows it ALL and does not.    Thus Obama left Iraq in 2011, this allowed for the birth of Daesh, in Iraq and Syria.   The President failed to enforce his red lines with Assad 's Syria, thus showing that Obama treated the enemies of the US better than its allies, in this case moderates in Syria.   The secular rebellion turned religious and allowed Daesh to take controls of large parts of Syria.   In East Europe Obama allowed Russia to take over the Crimea and did not defend East Ukraine.    No one will ask this former President for advice on foreign policy when he leaves office in 2017.

The Republican Delegate Count - Election 2016

Telegraph: Reports that Donald Trump has 621 delegates, while Senator Cruz has 396 and finally Governor Kasich has 138.

Lets Get Real:

There has been discussion on the news networks that you could see joint ticket between Cruz and Kasich or even a Cruz and Rubio with the Rubio delegates supporting Cruz at the Republican Convention.   It looks like that Trump will not be able to reach a majority of the delegates and his recent remarks that there could be riots is troubling.   The question is what will the Republican Establishment do, if they have any power, if this blog recalls the delegates have to vote for the candidate who won their State in the first round, if no candidate has a majority then the delegates are free to vote for someone else.   One can see the lawyers coming in to this, fun if a political nightmare for the Republicans and fun for the Democrats. 

Trump says there could be riots if he is not the Republican Nominee - Election 2016

Guardian - US Politics Live: Reports the following comments by Donald Trump should he be denied the Republican nomination in its 4.18pm post, " If we’re 20 votes short or if we’re you know 100 votes, and we’re at 1,100 and somebody else is at 500 or 400, cause we’re way ahead – I don’t think you can say we don’t get it automatically, I think you’d have riots,” Trump said...“I’m representing a tremendous, many many millions of people... If you disenfranchise those people, I think you would have problems like you’ve never seen before. I think bad things would happen. I wouldn’t lead it – but I think bad things would happen.” 

Lets Get Real:

IF one was a cynic one could say the above is a threat to repeat what what happened to the Democrats in 1968.  It is these kind of remarks that make this blogger want to buy a second hand nuclear bunker, one sometimes get the feeling that Trump would get the West in to a WAR within six months, while it would only take Cruz six weeks.   As stated in previous post the general election phase is on, thus given the choice this blog will try to spin for HRC, its hard, she is not a great candidate. The Trump Campaign has moved to the general election phase with an advert that has HRC barking, yes she did park at one event, that is why its hard to spin for her, at least she will not cause a WAR with a six months, a scandal of some short yes, but that is the Clintons.

The fights for the Republican and Democratic nomination is OVER, on the Republican side it will be Donald Trump, on the Democratic side it will be Hillary Clinton.   Although the Donald might not get the actually number delegates needed any idea of a backroom deal that would try to replace him would destroy the Republican Party and hand the Oval Office to HRC.  Both candidates have moved to the general, as the Hill reports the Trump has aired an attack advert on Hillary Clinton, the advert shows how Putin's Russia would be happy with HRC in the Oval as Putin is a stronger leader.  Thus a new phase of the election starts today.
