The Boston Herlad. com: Reports on the latest US produced UN sanction on Iran, the Boston Herald states the following on the US progress with the resolution, “…a process that has already been months in the making - is still moving at a glacial pace ”. As the Herald notes a slow progress helps Iran, also the extreme liberal NYT notes that both Turkey and Brazil have been conned by Iran, thus folks something has to give, either the US accepts a nuclear armed Iran or takes military action or worse allows Israel to take action. If as expected Tehran does not care about the new sanctions the UN will start to look like the League of Nations of the 1930s, as with the Cold War the UN was a talking shop, but its getting the reputation of a talking shop of no importance, just full of hot air, thus to protect the International Order the US or Israel will have to take action, that nuclear clock is reaching midnight folks, who will fire the shooting gun to attack Iran, Israel or the US.
A look at the Politics of the United States and the UK. The Foreign Policies of both countries and how they behave in the International Community.

NYT and Iran
The New York Times: Has a tough Editorial on Iran, the extreme Liberal NYT writes the following on Iran, "...And every time the big powers let up on the pressure, Tehran’s compromises turn to smoke. ". Thus it seems that the deal between Iran and Turkey/Brazil has not impressed the NYT, one can be surprised, but one has to wonder if there is another Agenda by the Liberal NYT, does the NYT want tough sanctions but toothless by the UN as to prevent Israel attacking Iran. Of course there is also the political aspect, the extreme liberal NYT does not want to see Obama fail, the Obama policy for over a year is to try to talk to Iran, but Iran has shut its door in the face of President Obama, this has shown that Obama is weak, thus the liberal NYT wants to protect its President. At the end of the day no UN sanction will really effect Iran, Tehran wants the bomb, in other words it comes down to Israel. When the balloon goes up who will Obama support, Iran or Israel, if you have to pause with the answer it shows how much political trouble Obama could be in during the Mid Term Congressional Elections and 2012.

Signs for the Mid Term Congressional Elections
RCP: Reports on the defeat in the Democratic Primary of Senator Specter and the Democrats holding House Seat in the Pennsylvania. The Specter defeat was seen on the horizon, thus the strategic decision by the Oval to keep out of the internal fight at the end, the keeping of the House Seat should be wake up call for the Republicans, all through the the Seat was a Democratic safe seat the Republicans should have been closer than the 53-45 result. The Republicans cant expect for the House and the Senate just to fall at their feet, they have to think outside the box, the Republicans should offer the voter another Contract with America as they did in the 1994 elections. The US voter is angry with both Parties, thus the Republicans have to up their game or they might be very disappointed in November, although this blog is still predicting that the Republicans will take the House its not set in stone. Thus Republicans get off the dime think outside the box and win.
Balls Standing for Labour Leader
BBC News: Reports that the ex Education Secretary Ed Balls will stand for the Labour leadership against David and Ed Miliband. Thus we have history repeating itself folks, the political sons of Blair and Brown fighting for the leadership of the Labour Party. In David Miliband the ex Foreign Secretary we have an ally of Tony Blair, in Ed Balls we have an ally of Gordon Brown, lets see if the future belongs to the new Blair or Brown.

Any ONE for TEA ?
CNN: Reports on the growing power of the tea party movements and its opposition to Washington based politicians. It can be postulated that the growing anti Washington mood is based on the view that the Obama Administration spending money like a drunken sailor, the bailout, Obama economic plan, the health care reform Bill, this is pushing the US down the road of Greece, thus the growth of the tea party movement. One would not be surprised to see Hillary Clinton resigning as Secretary of State and doing a Edward Kennedy and running against Obama in 2012. This blog still states that Obama will either not run in 2012 or will be defeated by 49 states, aka Walter Mondale running against Ronald Reagan in 1984.

Playing Games - Iran
Telegraph: Reports on the deal between Iran and Brazil/Turkey for Iran to send its nuclear material to Turkey in exchange for non defensive nuclear material. This is a game folks, Iran is playing the UN veto powers, it is playing for time, it comes down to one simple fact, Iran will not give up its nuclear ambitions, it wants to match Israel as a nuclear armed power. This latest ploy is to get Russia and China not to support the sanction moves of President Obama, it can be stated that Obama sold out Poland and the Czech Republic for nothing, Russia and China will be even harder to move on sanction after the latest gambit by Tehran, thus as stated how many times on this blog, it comes down to Israel, Obama is to weak to take action, he is no JFK or Reagan, Israel will have to strike, the question is when, it can be postulated that the US Armed Forces should be on alert over the next six months in Iraq, once Israel hits Iran it can be expected that Iran will hit US bases in the Middle East, what Turkey and Brazil have done is to do another Munich ( 1938), this can only lead to trouble folks.

The Road to the Mid Term Congressional Elections
The Blog is back to its fav subject folks, US politics.
The Fox News: Report on State Primaries ( in which Parties chose their candidate for the General Election ) and a By - Election in UK terms for a House Seat. This blog tonight will be looking at the Primary race in Pennsylvania for the Democratic nomination and the By - Election in the State for the House. The Senate race is interesting has you have the ex Republican now a Democrat, Arlen Specter running as a Obama Democrat, can Obama get his vote out to support his new friend, does Oval still have that Star quality, or has the magic faded for the Obama Presidency. In the House seat you have a safe Democratic Seat, if the Republicans can come close to taking this seat or actually win then the House will go Republican in November. The Democrats cant spend the money they have on this seat on all their seats, thus if the Republicans are close or take the Seat a lot of Democrats will think its all over, coming close is a win for Republicans as this will show the liberal leadership of the House that their time in power in coming to and end. Thus all eyes on Pennsylvania folks, could be the the direction the country will take in November 2010.
