Obama and Clinton Meet, THE STORY

New York Times: Reports on the hide and seek of the Obama- Clinton meet, to be honest its not James Bond, a very in the beltway story!!

James Bond

Have just started to read Devil May Care by Sebastian Faulks writing as Ian Fleming. Have never read a James Bond before, its great. I put aside the films in my mind and came to book as if never read or seen anything about Bond, and it is still great. Takes you around the world, its the Cold War and the Culture Era, and Bond is human, but also funny in a dark humour way. So far a great book, will report later when finished.

Update: Finished, a great summer read, have gone back to the start of the series of books, have just bought Casino Royale.

Obama and Clinton MEET

BBC News: Reports on a meeting between Senators Obama and Clinton. Fox News Reported that the press are not happy, while Obama meet with Clinton, the press had been sent to to the windy city. The Obama Camp have to be careful, the press might be in the tank for Obama, they are still the press, they don't like to be used, this should also be a warning to the press, keep on eagle eye on Obama Camp, they think they can walk on water with press. As to the meeting, could Obama really put Hillary Clinton on the ticket, it would look like he was weak and what about Bill Clinton, would have loved to be a fly on the wall for that meeting.

McCain v Obama Poll of Polls

Lets have a look at the polls for the General Election.

The RCP average of polls has Obama ahead by not my much, Obama 47.4% - McCain 44.4%. Thus after all the talk of historic event, Obama is ahead by 2.2%, the Pastor, Reverend and his left wing friends have taken the shine off Obama, also Clinton has helped, that 3am ad was to the point, and one can just imagine a McCain ad with his military record. This is going to be a very close race, a lot like the West Wing. in reality McCain has Iraq, in the West Wing the Republican nominee had a nuclear accident, but Iraq is turning around, even the elite media gets that point. Lets recall in 1968 during Vietnam, Vice President Humphrey came close to winning over Nixon and in 1976 after Watergate and a close fight with Reagan, President Ford nearly won, thus the Democrats have to be careful not to count their chickens, events , events as a UK PM once stated is always out there, its going to be a very close race.

Clinton's End Game

Fox News: Reports on the displeasure by some of those that supported Hillary Clinton with her speech on Tuesday, the Non Concession Speech. These past few days should have had Obama in the spotlight, the first African - American Nominee for President with a chance of winning the White House, and what has been the main chat, let see, two words Hillary Clinton. A President needs a Vice - President to know his or her place, this is not Senator Clinton. Even after she gets out of the race, the chat will be will Hillary Clinton be the VP.

Obama and the Clinton Long March to the End!!

Politico: Looks at how the Obama Camp has dealt with Hillary Clinton since he has become the nominee. Obama has been a lot more gracious than Clinton has been to the new leader of the Democratic Party.

Clinton D - Day

ABC News: Reports and has been confirmed by other US News outlets that Hillary Clinton will leave the race on Friday. Fox News has reported that the Clinton Campaign will suspend operations, this allows the Campaign to still raise money and keep her delegates. Of course should the polls show over the months that Obama cant win this could allow Hillary Clinton to come to the rescue of the Party. Also it should be noted it is a form of blackmail, in other words Hillary Clinton wants to be VP. Obama has to be worried that other Pastors, Reverends or left wing friends might come out, thus Obama in pure politics terms might have not choice but to take Hillary and Bill Clinton. The General Election has started folks!!

Update: The breaking news broke on Thursday, the original reports had Friday as the end day for Clinton, this has now been moved to Saturday.
