No to Nuclear North Korea ?

Guardian: Reports that the USA has stated that it will not accept North Korea as a member of the Nuclear Club. These are very fine viewpoint but so far the Obama Administration has shown that its words mean nothing, Obama has condemn North Korea and what next, nothing, if your in North Korea you would get the idea that Obama is a weak President that believes his own press statements over the truth. If your in Tehran, Iran you would get the idea that Obama is an empty suit, all wind and no substance. Thus the lack of action by Obama and his failure to get the UN to be tough has shown that Obama is naive, that his apology tour of Europe was a failure, thus expect North Korea one day to get a working ICBM, and for Japan to go nuclear, also South Korea. The failure of the Obama policy in North Korea has a direct link to the Middle East, both Israel Iran will ignore Obama in the future, in the case of Israel it will carry on with the building of existing settlements on the West Bank, later down the line it will bomb Iran when it feels it is under threat. In Iran the Government will see the weakness of Obama as a green light to go nuclear, Obama wont be able to blame any one else, his naivety and weakness could lead to a war in the Middle East.

Is US Supreme Court Nonimee Judge Sotomayor Colour Blind ?

The New York Times: Reports on the legal career of Obama's nominee for the US Supreme Court, Judge Sotomayor, the Liberal NYT writes the following on Sotomayor, " has championed the importance of considering race and ethnicity in admissions, hiring and even judicial selection at almost every stage of her career..." It seems Justice is no long blind in the US Court System, one of Judge Sotomayor legal decisions opens her up to the charge that is an extreme Liberal and racist, in one case a white claimant who had a disability lost a promotion at his employment due to the fact that the exam he had passed had no been passed by other people of a ethnic background, in other words a reverse racism or just racist. How come the Civil Rights movement of the 60s had gone down the toilet, colour, gender, religious background should not be an issue, but those that fought racism have become racist.

Deaths in Afghanistan

MOD: Reports on the death of two British Soldiers on Saturday. The total of British Forces killed in combat action now stands at 134, those killed due to accident, illness or other incidents is 29. In total those killed in the Afghanistan operation is 165. In Iraq the UK lost 136 Armed Forces Personnel due to combat action, at this rate the military operation in Afghanistan will take a heavy toll on our Armed Forces. What is the EXIT route out of Afghanistan ?

Long Range Missile Test for North Korea ?

CNN News: Reports that North Korea could be ready to have another long range missile test, there are reports that activity in the region following the pattern of the last launch. It can be postulated that North Korea will wait in till President Obama is in Egypt for his visit to the Middle East, then launch a long range missile, this will place Obama in a box, his words have meant nothing so far then it comes to North Korea, Iran will take this weakness to mean that it can get the bomb and Obama will not have much of a reaction, just his usual speeches, a lot of hot air with no substance. Also Israel wont take much notice of Obama when it comes to the Middle East, Obama has demanded that Israel stop building new settlements in the West Bank, Israel has stated it wont build new settlements but will extend old ones, in other words Israel knows that it has the upper hand with Obama, this is not Nixon going to China or Reagan in Moscow, Obama has made much of his background, living in a Muslim country, that's the problem in political terms, Reagan could threaten the relationship between the USA and Israel if Israel did not back down in Lebanon in the early 80s, as Reagan was seen as friend of Israel, Nixon had been critical of China thus could talk to China, Obama lets be honest pre his Presidency hasn't had a long term record of defence of Israel, he been running for office for to long. Thus Obama might threaten Israel with funding cuts but the Congress would veto any such moves, the Israeli Lobby is not known for power for no reason, thus what ever Obama thinks Israel will decide its future and that of the Palestine people.

Bush 43 on Terror Policies

Fox News: Reports that Bush 43 has come out swinging in defence of his terror policies after 9/11. Bush 43 is very canny political operator, one can postulate that after keeping quite since leaving office he has had enough of President Obama bashing his Administration. President Obama should recall that the Bush 43 is quite ruthless and he has Karl Rove, it would be wise from a political point of view to recall that his bashing of Bush 43 can be returned by his successor, Obama does not have four terms, he has one and a bit, if he wins re-election 2012 with Joe Biden still on the ticket he will have candidates running for President within a year, and depending on his approval ratings, they can go up and down, he will be the one getting the critical comments. Also if Governor Jeb Bush was run in 2016 and win the Obama crowd would see what political pain can really feel like, so no drama Obama should become classy Obama and cut off the critical comments of Bush 43, as his successor might return the favour in 2016, does Obama really want Jeb Bush turning up with Bush 43 during the transition period, Obama should learn an old lesson, to misquote LBJ, don't throw tea out as it can come back hit you on the tent.

Pre - 9/11 Mind Set of the Obama Administration

LA Times: Reports that the Obama Administration will move to allow the FBI to be the lead Agency in the War on Terrorism, taking over from the CIA. This is pre 9/11 mind set, a mind set that sees the War on Terror as a matter of law, no drama Obama has become to a risk addict, what if this all goes wrong, what if the Taliban/Terrorists think that the Obama Administration is weak, its actions in North Korea has shown that its words mean nothing, if you remove the CIA as the lead Agency to deal with terrorism you open the gates to another 9/11. Naivety in a President is dangerous, Obama by his closing of Gitmo has shown that his own arrogance is more important than the security of the United States. It seems Obama wants to keep his hands clean, well the Republicans should start to remind him that he has allowed the CIA to use drones in Pakistan to kill terrorists when they are with their families. Thus his hands are as dirty as anyone, that includes the Speaker of the House of Representatives, who was informed that Bush 43 was using tough interrogations methods. Is Obama going to have the FBI search the Tribal badlands of Pakistan and Afghanistan for OBL, the leader of Al - Qeada, of course not, it seems Western Security has to take a back seat to the conscience of a naive President, yes folks another Jimmy Carter.

Bluff or real Threat to Pakistan ?

The New York Times: Reports that the Taliban have threatened to unleash major attacks on the cities of Pakistan. One can argue with today’s attacks that they have started their attacks, but at the end of the day the Taliban/Terrorists are nothing but common murders. This is the time for the Army of Pakistan to clean house in the Swat Valley and in the Tribal badlands. The Taliban/Terrorists cannot take on the Army of Pakistan in honourable combat, they are terrorists after all, thus it should be hoped that civic structure of Pakistan rejects these common murders. Lets hope the Police and the ISI, Pakistan’s Intelligence Agency are on the same page. But also it would prudent that the Army secures the major cities, making sure that the terrorists don’t have easy targets. This is the time to smash the Taliban/Terrorists.
