Thus former VP Biden has fallen to pressure and stated he is sorry to Anita Hill, this might make extreme liberals happy, but will cause more moderate voters to think that Biden is a empty suite, who will be pushed around by whatever pressure group.   As stated yesterday Biden is WEAK on national security, the Trump Campaign will use this apology to show that Biden is a empty suite who will NOT STAND up for himself, at this rate Biden will have to say sorry for his whole political career, and it has been a very long political career, first in the US Senate and then Vice President under President Barack Obama.   The more the Democratic Party GOES LEFT, the more it will lose the FLY OVER STATES.  The Trump Campaign must be thanking its lucky stars that the Democrats is a gift that keeps giving.  In the latest news, Biden has stated he would get rid of the Republican tax cuts, that will help with the very liberal base of the Party but will cause concern that he is a TAX AND SPEND LIBERAL.   Do the Democrats EVER LEARN, recall Walter Mondale's pledge to increase taxes, he lost 49 STATES.

The House Democrats are playing POLITICAL GAMES, they do not watch to impeach as this could backfire on them, thus we have this political harassment by the Democrats on the Hill.  The AG should refuse to meet them if they do not treat him as his rank would expect, he is after all the Attorney General of the United States, the Democrats are playing to their very liberal base, the base wants to impeach, not because they will win, it is just to make a point.  They hate POTUS so much, they would rather face the political blowback of impeachment, than allow Trump to get away it from their view after the Mueller Report.   The Trump White House is RIGHT to fight back when it comes to Democratic House Committees, the Dem members do not want to face a primary fight in two years time, thus the US does not matter, this is pure politics on their part.  I take the word of the AG over partisan Democrats.

The West does not need another President in the OVAL OFFICE who will not use force, it is good sometimes to go through someone's record who has had decades in the political arena.   As the above notes as VP, Biden did not support the raid in Pakistan to take out Osama Bin Laden, he was concerned about the political ramifications.   The major foreign policy of the Obama Administration was the failure to use force in Syria against the Assad Regime after it is used WMD on its own people, Barack Obama allowed his Secretary of State, John Kerry to use rhetoric to take the troops up the hill and then decide because the UK House of Commons did not support military action to take the troops down.  Barack Obama had stated that the use of WMD in Syria was a red line for him, and he allowed Assad to cross it numerous times.   Also he allowed Russia to increase its presence in Syria.   Biden in the first 24 hours of his campaign raked in 6.3 million dollars, but that was from the rich, most of the other candidates are not taking big money from the rich, they are getting along on small donations.  This might work in the Primary fight, how are they going to match Trump when it comes to the general election.   The extreme liberals are opposed to Biden from the domestic front to his vote to support the Iraq War when it was in the US Senate.  Of course the interesting time will come with the DEBATES, who will shine, who will crash and burn, can Biden avoid getting in to gaffes.  Is the Biden time passed, that must be the opinion of Mayor Pete and Beto, the Party on the whole supports younger candidates, Biden would be 78 if he is sworn in January 2021.

In the New York Times it was reported that VP Biden started with ZERO in the bank, and was looking to get half million dollars in to the bank in the first 24 hours, this explains his trip to Democratic State of California, he is going to get the big money from Hollywood liberals, then hit the battleground States.  As noted in the above article the former VP does not like asking for money, well better get used to it and fast, if he wants to be competitive he has to set up a political operation in Iowa and New Hampshire, it can be taken as FACT that the other candidates have people on the ground already, it might even be argued that Biden has waited too LONG to get in the race, the Democrats who are nice to face will look for ways to get his poll numbers down, also the LEFT WING Democrats will want to make sure that Biden does not get the nomination, they want someone like Sanders or Warren, at a pinch Senator Kamala Harris, one does wish she would STOP saying sorry for her role as a prosecutor, there is an old lesson, never explain and never say sorry, it looks WEAK.  Also she wants get rid of private health care insurance, that will not go down well with voters after Obama's if you like your Doctor you can keep him or her.  This blog does like Mayor Pete ( still getting used his surname, ) but will the fly over States vote for a gay married President, this blog has its DOUBTS, even if the candidate has served in Afghanistan and does not want prisoners to have the vote.   The new polls with Biden in the race will be interesting, will his polls numbers go up, Beto was the golden boy when he entered the race, after that he polls have gone down, then it was Mayor Pete, he has increased his support, he tends to be third in most polls from Iowa and NH.   As stated it is a long way to go, there will be hundreds of polls before Iowa, perfect if you love politics.

Thus Joe Biden faces problems on two fronts, he has been accused of being to touchy feely with women, and his past history with Anita Hill over how she was treated when she gave negative information to the US Senate Judicial Committee when going through the confirmation process over Clarence Thomas.  It can be postulated that the other Democratic Candidates or their supporters will make this an issue.   Also it negates how hard Biden can attack Trump when it comes to sexual assault allegations against him, people in glass houses etc.  It would be interesting if Biden selected a running mate early, if it was a woman, from an ethnic background this would help, but it can be argued that it is to early for such a move, let's see how the Democratic Presidential debates go, will the sensible Joe to turn up or the gaffe candidate.   This is going to be an interesting Presidential race.

The former VP has to get through the Democratic Caucuses and Primaries first, the base of the Democratic Party has moved on since the day of President Barack Obama, it has become almost socialist it can postulated, it wants to have medical cover for ALL Americans, thus removing private medical cover, it wants to hike taxes on the rich, it wants to go for an extreme New Green Deal, it wants to give those in prison the vote, also getting rid of the electoral college, any many other left wing ideas.  It should be noted that AOC stopped her District and New York from getting thirty thousand jobs from Amazon because the State would give the company a tax break, she threw away tax dollars that would come to the State through new jobs created.  If Biden moves to the left to get votes he will lose his appeal to blue collar white voters, also a majority of Democratic voters are older than those those that make news on social media.  It is long time from the end of April to the first Caucus in Iowa, and Biden does have the tendency to put his foot in his mouth, will the Dems go for a Biden or a fresh face, in the shape of Mayor Pete or Beto, they already have the brand name, you know who they are when you say their name, even if you do not their policies.   This blog has not discounted Senator Sanders, it might be his turn, and he has the policies that most of the Dems want, it is going to be a long and dirty fight for Biden to get the nomination.

From a tradition point of view the Biden announcement was a pit underwhelming, but in the modern era it was a good start, a video dump that will be shown on the networks and on the 24/7 news channels.   Thus free media, as the NYT stated Biden starts the race with ZERO in the bank, if he has got see ZERO where did he get the money to produce a professional video?   The VP is going to hit the battleground States, with the exception of California, the former VP is going there to get the money from the Hollywood liberals.  It was reported on CNN tonight that Biden was seeking to collect half a million dollars in the first 24 hours, that will be a lot of calls and lot of hand shaking for the VP.   The uber liberal left is already going after him, for his support of the IRAQ WAR to his support for the tough crime laws of the 1990s.   In essence Biden has to get through the primaries, if he can do that he has a shot at the Oval Office.   Druge Reports that Biden has a new poll that has Biden beating Trump by 8 points, we shall see how long that lead remains, Trump has not started on Biden yet, one does wonder what nickname Trump will give him.  Thus the real race for the Democratic nomination starts today.
