Obama and the Domestic Terrorist

The New York Times: The LIBERAL Times reports the following on the Obama - Ayers relationship, " A review of records......... and interviews with a dozen people who know both men, suggest that Mr. Obama,..has played down his contacts with Mr. Ayers,..." The Times of course then goes in to commentary, it cant help itself, Obama and Ayers didn't know each other well, at the start of Obama's political career, Ayers was one of the power barons that Obama had to toff his hat to as to get elected. The Times does not mention this fact. Also that Obama has not supported the left wing views of Ayers, but what does the Times not say is that Obama went to a radical church with a radical pastor.

No WIN in Afghanistan !

BBC News: Reports on the comments of the UK's Commander in Helmand Province, Brigadier Mark Carleton-Smith, the Brigadier has the view that the West cant win in Afghanistan and we should talk to the Taliban. I think the Brigadier Carleton - Smith should keep his views to himself, this is in the same vain as the views as reported in the French Press of the British Ambassador in Kabul. The British Army and Foreign Office have to learn that sometimes you have to fight to win, these comments don't help the West and give good material to the terrorists to work their propaganda on the border between Pakistan and Afghanistan. The head of the Army and the Foreign Secretary need to have a strong but quite word, the message has to be sent out, SHUT UP. There is an old WW2 line, lose talks sinks ships, well this helps the terrorists and the Taliban. The Elite of both the Army and Foreign Office need to learn one lesson, if you disagree with policy resign, if you don't want to resign SHUT UP.

Obama's Terrorist Friend

BBC News: Reports that Governor Palin, the Republican nominee for VP, has gone after the terrorist friend of Senator Obama, Mr William Ayers, the founder of the domestic terrorst group the Weather Underground. I wonder if the electronic and print media will even mention this story, they are in the tank for Obama.

Sunday Times: Has a very interesting article on the friendship between Obama and a former terrorist, William Ayers of the The Weathermen terrorist group. Fox News has bee on this for a while, the print media always lag behind Fox, now the Sunday Times, the paper of record for the UK has run the story, the elite media in the USA will at least have to ask Obama about the this terrorist. It should be noted as Craig Shirley does in his book that this group, firebombed the house of Ronald Reagan and stated they had a bullet for him, as Ayers was part of the Weatherman, the press should ask Obama did he know that The Weatherman wanted to harm Reagan, a great President, has he asked and rebuked Ayers for the actions of this group. Come on Press get your finger out and ask the hard questions.

Mr O' Reilly on top form, here he is having a quite discussion on the economic melt down facing the United States. McCain should hire him as his Press Secretary if he wins in November.

McCain can WIN

WS: William Kristol writing in the Conservative The Weekly Standard, sees a chance for the McCain/Palin ticket to come back and win this election in November. Kristol writes the following on the Obama/Biden ticket, " They're for raising taxes, federally funding abortions, naming activist judges, and losing wars. " As in previous post, the McCain Campaign is going down this line of attack, but one has to point out that Mr Kristol uses the historical fact that both President Ford and Vice - President Gore narrowed the difference by November but they both lost, thus McCain/Palin have to narrow the margin between them and Obama/Biden but also overtake them in the polls. If this was Ronald Reagan or George W. Bush it might work, but does McCain have the fire in the belly to destroy the other guy's political career, to quote one of my favourite films, there can only be one, and in this case its POTUS. McCain has to destroy Obama so that he can never run again for President, has to get some help from Karl Rove, Rove knows how to win elections, McCain is in a bare knuckle fight, he should think back to his POW days in Vietnam, its that simple, on November 5th if McCain wants to be the President Elect he has to destroy the career of Obama, think Walter Mondale in 1984. After that massive defeat to Ronald Reagan, Mondale could not win back his old Senate seat.

Liberal and Higher Taxes

The New York Times: Reports that Senator McCain will go after Senator Obama as Liberal and a tax hiker. The Liberal New York Times cant help it self, in a news piece it acts like a Obama enforcer, telling the voters what they perceive to be truth, I thought that was the Job of the Obama Campaign. If McCain can change the news cycle to National Security and the Wars in Iraq and Afghanistan he might stand a chance, but so far he has not been that successful with his Campaign. The most effective part of the McCain Campaign was when McCain poked fun at Obama, liberal, elite, arrogant, Hollywood, odd friends, the campaign should go back to this line of attack, make your opponent a laughing stock does wonders for your polls.

Palin - Obama should not be Commander in Chief

Fox News: Reports that Governor Palin is attacking Obama for his views of American actions in Afghanistan. Governor Palin has stated in an interview with Fox that Obama is stating the following, " just air raiding villages and killing civilians...." . Palin should be the attack dog, change the news cycle, Obama wins if its the economy, if its Foreign Policy its a different ball game. The problem Obama has is that Palin and Biden and McCain have sons who are in Iraq and Afghanistan, while Obama does not, Palin can attack Obama, Obama will find it difficult to attack Palin while her family are in the fight. Thus Biden has to do the attacking, it can come from him, but Obama has to make sure that he keeps to the economy.
