Lets Get Real:

Thus the UK will return to previous Imperial methods of dealing with the Taliban, Al Qaeda and Daesh.  Of course one suspects that the SAS and Delta Force will be on the ground, just checking to see what is going on and taking action when needed.  One can assume that terrorist groups will return to Afghanistan, the Taliban are already saying that they pushed the US out, that they represent the real Afghanistan.   Some Taliban might even believe that kind of rubbish. The people of Afghanistan will face a terrible fate, no Western culture, no schools for girls, public executions, Islamic Law only.  One can see the refugees already! Poor Afghanistan.   The RAF and the US Air Force will have a busy time of it, if this blog is right.

Lets Get Real:

The above was the predictable outcome, the West has gotten tired of Afghanistan, the deaths of Western troops and the cost during a pandemic.  Afghanistan is known as the graveyard of Empires, the British Empire was here, so was the USSR and now the US and its Allies.  Afghanistan is a HARD PLACE TO keep stable and the Countryside and mountains help opposition forces, its a nightmare without end for the people of Afghanistan, women, girls will find that they are suppressed under the Taliban, people will be executed in public, Western culture will be abolished.   Then we come to the bad outcome for the West, Al Qaeda will be back, also Daesh, God knows who else.  Thus the West will be back in Afghanistan, one way or another, most likely by drones or planes, returning to the policy of the British Empire, if you see people you think are suspect you kill them with a bomb or a drone.

Donald Rumsfeld was a great American, he served as Chief of Staff to President Ford when he came in to OFFICE after the scandal that was Watergate, they kept the ship of State afloat, after that post Ford moved him to be Secretary of State, a hard job after Vietnam.  After Ford, Rumsfeld help the Reagan Administration when it came to Iraq, at the time Iraq was at war with Iran, the Reagan Administration wanted neither side to WIN.  Then after 9/11 Rumsfeld had to get the US in to WAR in Afghanistan and be ready for Iraq.  No one expected the War in Afghanistan to last 20 years, and recently President Biden has ordered the removal of ALL US troops from Afghanistan, one does wonder what the former Secretary of Defence thought of that.  There are still troops in Iraq, one has to wonder how long Biden will keep the US in Iraq, as stated by this blog, Biden has not been right about foreign policy for over 40 years why change a habit of a lifetime.  This blog salutes the late Secretary of State.

Lets Get Real:

One really has to hope that Putin does not really believe that if he had sunk the British vessel there would be no conflict, any attack on a NATO country would lead to a military crisis, no one wants WAR with Russia, as the Gipper said his Diaries, the Russians have nothing we want.  But a Russian attack on any UK or US Ship could lead the US and the UK to go to Defcon 1 and the Warsaw Pact no longer exists.  Any Russian action would start with the Baltic States and Ukraine, as the Baltic States are part of NATO, the West would have to react and react in a swift manner, even POTUS would not be allowed to appease Putin. One hopes that Putin was talking to his home voters ( since he is a tyrant, they are as much hostages as those that he he has thrown in jail ).   The frost relationship between the West and Russia has just gone more COLD.

The UK Government made a mistake in agreeing to the Northern Ireland Protocol, it benefits the EU, but does not benefit Northern Ireland, sausages as just part of the problem.  It seems that the EU has woken to the FACT that the protocol could lead to street clashes between the Unionist and Nationalist supporters.  The peace in Northern Ireland has to be kept, no matter the cost.   The UK should try to get a DEAL with the EU, but at the end of the day, the province is part of the UK and must be treated as such by the UK Government and the EU.   One does wonder if we shall ever really be free of the EU. 

Biden STRIKES at Iran targets in Iraq and Syria - Biden Era

At least President Biden has shown some backbone, the question is how much down the target list did the Biden OVAL go.  Biden wants to to APPEASE Iran, he wants to get the Obama nuclear deal back on track.  The US Secretary of State has warned that time is running out for the deal.   Also Iran has elected a hard line President, who very much represents the religious regime in Tehran.  The question is how do you square a hole, the US wants Tehran to restrict its actions in the nuclear field, while Iran wants the US to remove the sanctions on the regime at the first stage.   It depends who is willing to look WEAK at the start.  That is just the Iran problem, there is also the threat from Daesh, that is why the US is back in Iraq.  The Middle East is a constant problem, and Israel will never allow a nuclear armed Iran.

The people of Iran voted in a SHAM election for a hard line Conservative, who supports the repressive REGIME in Iran.  The Biden Administration has a problem, the Biden Oval wants to appease Iran, but can not do that if the Tehran Regime goes hard line on them, demanding that Biden Oval remove ALL the Trump sanctions before they go back to the Obama Nuclear deal.   There is a problem there also, Tehran has carried on with its nuclear development, and are they willing to destroy what they have created.  Biden also faces the problem that Israel will never allow Iran to become a nuclear power, look how carefully the West has to deal with North Korea, all because it has the bomb.  The Tehran Regime might push the Biden Oval to keep the sanctions and even increase them if Iran refuses to budge on its nuclear development.  Keep an eye on this folks, it could get hot fast.
