What is the Obama Strategy for IS or ISIS? - Iraq Crisis

CNN - Politics: Reports " If nothing else, the latest ISIS act of barbarism brought a quick political consensus, and added pressure on President Barack Obama: Caution in the face of repugnant horror just won't do. "

Lets Get Real:

The Oval has no political choice it has to ACT and has to be seen to have ACTED, thus this means more air strikes on ISIS in Iraq and attacks on ISIS in Syria, while at the same time having to deal with Russian action in the Ukraine.   The Oval has to be careful that any attacks on ISIS in Syria does not help the Assad Regime, that is harder to do with the options, the Syrian air defence is good, thus any attacks on ISIS using Syrian Air space will have to have the agreement of Assad, of course the US could strike ISIS with planes outside the Assad controlled air space, but an attack to be successful it needs the use of Syrian air space and to use US Special Forces on the ground.   Thus the best way to hit both ISIS and Assad is to HIT both of them at the same time, neither will gain and the Oval will be seen to have taken action on both sides.

Lets Get Real:

ALL options should be on the table when it comes to dealing with IS, that means the use of NATO Special Forces to take down IS, and prevent them from keeping their bloody State.   NATO needs a massive air assault on IS, these means night and day bombing.  IS by its actions has shown it can not be allowed to grow or extend its power, they are bloody cowards , who should be buried with no marker, they have killed thousands and will try to kill hundred of thousands.  If IS is not taken down it could attack the UK and the US.   Also it a threat to the Middle East, it could try to cause problems in Turkey and try to take down the Governments of Jordan and Lebanon.  This means NATO MUST ACT, no time for dithering. 

Ceasefire in the Ukraine? - Ukraine Crisis

BBC News: Reports " Russian President Vladimir Putin has said he is hoping for a peace agreement to be reached between Ukraine and pro-Russian rebels by Friday. "

Lets Get Real:

Do you trust anything that President Putin says, if you your a fool, the sole interest for Putin is A Greater Russia, the Russian rebels can not be allowed to control East Ukraine, that would make West Ukraine a basket case and in need of billions of dollars in support, the East of the Ukraine is the industrial sector of the Country, in effect the Ukraine would become two Countries, think of Germany during the COLD WAR, the Kiev Government can not fold to the demands of Russia and its allies.   If there is a peace deal the Russians have to get out of the Ukraine, otherwise its another major win for Russia. 

Obama on the Security of Estonia - Ukraine Crisis

The White House: Reports on remarks by President Obama when it comes to Estonia while in Estonia, " So I’ve come here, first and foremost, to reaffirm the commitment of the United States to the security of Estonia.  As NATO Allies, we have Article 5 duties to our collective defense.  That is a commitment that is unbreakable.  It is unwavering.  It is eternal.  And Estonia will never stand alone.  "

Lets Get Real:

These are tough words from POTUS, the question is will President Putin think that Obama has the backbone to follow through, what if native Russians in the Baltic States start to act up with the help of Russia,  they could call for self rule, and with arms from Russia cause massive problems in the area, and cause NATO to be on the spot, are they willing to go up against both IS and Russia.   The good days of the old Cold War look great at the moment.   If your Putin you must think its worth the gamble. take over the Ukraine, then place political pressure on the Baltic, get the local people to call for native Russians to either have self rule or become part of Russia.   Troubling times ahead for the West. 

President Obama on the death of Steven Sotloff - Iraq Crisis

The White House: Reports on the following remarks by President Obama on the death of Steven Sotloff, "  I want to say that today the prayers of the American people are with the family of a devoted and courageous journalist, Steven Sotloff.  Overnight, our government determined that, tragically, Steven was taken from us in a horrific act of violence.  We cannot even begin to imagine the agony that everyone who loved Steven is feeling right now, especially his mother, his father and his younger sister.  So today, our country grieves with them.

Like Jim Foley before him, Steve’s life stood in sharp contrast to those who have murdered him so brutally.  They make the absurd claim that they kill in the name of religion, but it was Steven, his friends say, who deeply loved the Islamic world.  His killers try to claim that they defend the oppressed, but it was Steven who traveled across the Middle East, risking his life to tell the story of Muslim men and women demanding justice and dignity.

Whatever these murderers think they’ll achieve by killing innocent Americans like Steven, they have already failed.  They have failed because, like people around the world, Americans are repulsed by their barbarism.  We will not be intimidated.  Their horrific acts only unite us as a country and stiffen our resolve to take the fight against these terrorists.  And those who make the mistake of harming Americans will learn that we will not forget, and that our reach is long and that justice will be served.  "

Lets Get Real:

This is a strong statement by POTUS, its a pity that he took his time to deliver this message, but when your President you have to go through the system to make sure the video is real.   This is a warning to IS that the US will get the enemies of the US, dead or alive, the Oval did not say that but that is the clear message, IS are cowards and the lowest form of life on the planet, they are against everything a secular liberal should hold dear, democracy, free will, free speech, rights for women, the list is endless.   Even Al Qaeda has disowned IS, on the OTHER hand the Taliban might join the group.   Thus more calls for the Oval to strike Syria and take out IS, lets hope the Oval has a plan and fast. 

It's the FAULT of the Media - Obama = Nixon = Watergate

CNN - Politics: Reports that President Obama in part blames his political woes on the media, the article notes the following, " ..twice in the past few days he has laid part of the blame for an anxious public at the feet of the media. "

If POTUS really thinks the above is true, then he should resign and hand the job over to Vice President Biden, the elite media for years have loved and covered up for President Obama, they have been forced to report news after Fox News and few other brave reporters started to dig deep in to the Obama Administration and did not allow their own views to reflect their reporting.   In Foreign Policy President Obama is the worse President since Jimmy Carter, while on the domestic front Watergate looks small when you look at the scandals of the Obama Administration, the Oval has covered up the death of an American Ambassador in Libya, the press still do not know what POTUS was doing the critical hours of the attack at the US Consulate in Libya.   Then we have the IRS going after Conservative groups, then reporters being investigated and their sources traced.    It is is time the elite media woke up and treated Obama like any other President.

The Kremlin in the shape of President Putin must be laughing its backside off with how weak the US and the EU have dealt with the Ukraine Crisis, its like modern leaders do not read history, you can not appease a threat like Putin, he has learned the lessons of Hitler well, push slow at first to see how the US and the West reacts, this was the case with Georgia, and then go big, he has taken over the Crimea and the World barely yawned, the Foreign Capitals see the threat but can not believe that Putin will go as far as this blog thinks he will try, if your getting economic sanctions you might as well go big, this means the whole of the Ukraine, WHAT NEXT, how about the Baltic States or Poland, yes the Eastern thunder is coming, lets see who in the West is the next Churchill.
