The Obama White House and Chicago

The New York Times: Reports on how badly the Obama West Wing has taken the news that Chicago has lost the Olympics, the NYT writes the following, " A sense of stunned bewilderment hung in the air at the White House. " A Hollywood star is only as good as the last gross of his last movie, it seems that it could be the world that is the first to leave the Obama theatre. If Obama Aide would not take a out a hefty mortgage based on being in the White House for eight years, you could find that the Republicans take over the House in 2010 and and President Obama could lose 48 states in 2012. It like when sound came to the movies 1927, some voices in the long term didn't cut it, thus could this be the fate of Obama, loved then deserted in droves, guess he could be a warm act for Jimmy Carter.

Hollow President, Obama the WINDY Man!

The Times: Reports on the failure of President Obama to get the Olympics for his home town of Chicago, how this will have a negative effect on the Obama Presidency. Its American politics 101, a President does not go in to meeting without knowing how it will end, the Press Statement written up before a meeting. An American President does not at any cost want the appearance that his Presidency is hollow, that he is weak, at home he cant get his Agenda through the Congress, while abroad he is seen as another Jimmy Carter, not feared but seen as naive and weak. Thus my prediction that Obama will be a one term President, his he cant get beyond his own arrogance, quite sad really in some respects.

Death in Afghanistan

MOD: Reports on another UK loss in Afghanistan, the MOD states the following, " A Gunner from 34 Squadron Royal Air Force Regiment was killed in Afghanistan on Thursday 1 October 2009. " Thus since 2001 the UK has lost 219 of its Armed Forces Personnel in Afghanistan, of that total, 188 have died in combat operations, while the other 31 have died due to illness, accidents or other incidents.

Real Talks or Bluff by Iran ?

BBC News: Reports that Iran has agreed to allow the IAEA to visit their once secret nuclear plant at Qom. Once can almost see the faces at the Obama White House, they will want to believe that this is real, that Iran is going to change their strategic aim to get the bomb, one word rubbish. The Government in Tehran is playing the Obama Administration, President Obama might think he is playing a good chess game, one problem Obama is playing against a chess master in Iran. What should worry the Obama West Wing is a report via CBS News that states that Iran has tried to " acquire materials for a nuclear weapon in Canada.....centrifuge parts (centrifuges are used to enrich uranium) and electronic components for bombs and guidance systems. " The mind set of the Obama Administration can be seen in the slant that CBS News takes on the story, have a guess, yes its another Iraq, in other words they are quite happy to see a nuclear armed Iran. The elite media will go out of its way to give justification for Iran, as will the Obama Administration. Thus lets hope that Israel has the planes fuelled up and ready to fly, the Obama Administration is weak and will appease Iran, its that brutal and simple folks.

Is Obama turning his BACK on Afghanistan and his NATO Allies ?

The Washington Post: Reports that if President Obama is going to support the McChrystal recommendations he would need Republican support in the Congress. Thus far it does not look good, Obama has shown that he has little fight to take on his liberal base, thus his move to allow Congress to draw up a health care reform plan that has damaged his own poll ratings. Also the liberal base wanted to investigate Bush 43 and the CIA for acts committed to defend the USA after 9/11, the Obama West Wing has allowed the Attorney General Eric Holder, a close friend of Obama to start investigations of the CIA, how long before Holder starts to investigate Bush 43. It seems that Obama has no problem in selling out allies, just ask the Poles and the Czechs, thus Obama might think he can sell out the British with no cost, well if that is the mind set in the Obama West Wing the UK should remove its Armed Forces from Afghanistan as fast as possible, also NATO should get out, why should European soldiers die if Obama is all wobble.

No Going Back - General McChrystal on US Policy in Afghanistan

The New York Times: Reports on a speech by the US Commander in Afghanistan, General McChrystal, the General has rejected the opinion of VP Biden that the US should scale back US ground presence in Afghanistan and go for drone attacks on Al Qaeda bases in Pakistan. The NYT writes the following on the McChrystal speech, " rejected calls for scaling down military objectives......said Washington did not have unlimited time to settle on a new strategy to pursue the....war. " This can be seen as a rebuke to VP Biden but also to President Obama for being slow to make a decision. When it comes to Afghanistan President Obama should take him time, but should also come to the right decision, if he is going wobble and allow the left wing of the Democratic Party to decide US Foreign Policy then the UK should get out of Afghanistan. If Obama does not support the US military plan for Afghanistan then Israel will see that Obama can not be counted on in a tight spot and will hit Iran. President Obama it seems shares the same flaw as LBJ, he wants to be loved, well he has soldiers in fox holes in Afghanistan waiting for him to make his mind up to support them, if Obama wants affection he should get a dog. The decision on Afghanistan will define his Presidency, if Obama pushes back against his left then he will be seen as strong but if sells out Afghanistan, this will follow a trend, Poland, Czech Republic at the start of the process. Israel will not allow herself to be sold out because Obama does not have a backbone. Lets hope Obama is not another Jimmy Carter!

Is Gordon Brown Losing the Plot ?

The Daily Mail: Reports on the stability of the UK PM Gordon Brown. It seems from reports that our PM might need Prozac if he reacts this baldy to questions from reporters. This is why Gordon Brown is a dodo in political terms, he does not have the political skills of Tony Blair or President Obama. If New Labour wants to fall off a cliff keep a glum and dour Gordon Brown as PM. Also Labour spin masters, drop the constant argument that it is substance that matters, in other words our leader is toast but we cant get rid of him so please be nice to him, we don't want him on Prozac!! The sad part is that Gordon Brown has put the rest of the UK on Prozac.
