Obama Administration and Pakistan

The New York Times: Reports that the Congress has not passed a bill that would give civic aid to Pakistan, the NYT writes the following on the bill, " build up its civil society — the schools, courts, hospitals and roads that are essential to stability. " On the Obama domestic Agenda the NYT is on the extreme left wing but its right on the money when it comes to this issue, as stated many times in this blog you have to win the heart and minds of the people of Pakistan, you have to give them hope of a better tomorrow. Thus you have to build up a working and middle class that see that a secular society is better for them than the Taliban/Terrorists. As stated in the past this blog has had some reservations about the use of the CIA drones but that is the past, we have the Taliban on the run now, lets use that, hit them harder and often but also lets help the people. It can be argued that if Obama spent some of the banking money in Pakistan he would get a lot more back, support for the West and less terrorism. Even the NYT gets it right sometimes!

Pakistan's Nuclear Sites Attacked by Terrorists

The Times of India: Reports that Pakistan's nuclear sites have been attacked by terrorists in the past. The Obama Administration should demand that US Forces be allowed to guard these sites, what if the Taliban/Terrorists get hold of a lose nuke or a warhead, think of threat this would be to Pakistan and Western Forces in Afghanistan. The West should make sure that Pakistan has a total security screen around their nukes, this is time for tough talking between the USA and Pakistan, the Government of Pakistan has to be made aware that the West will not allow any security risks in Pakistan to become a threat to the West.

Un - American those that Oppose Health Care Reform - House Speaker

Fox News: Reports that House of Representatives Speaker, Nancy Pelosi has called those that oppose health care reform Un - American. Folks this is the dirty pool that older Americans have to deal with, it is they that will be hurt by the Obama Health Care Reform Bill. If your old and have served your country you will be asked to fall off your perch because your not worth it from the view of the Democrats. Let us have a million man march of the old, let’s have those that have paid their dues over the decades to Washington D.C. Lets show the Democrats that their obsession with youth celebrity culture is not the USA as a whole. Call on your neighbours and friends to take those that have worked hard, served their country in many ways form the military to public sector work, firemen, doctor’s and teacher and others to D.C. Show the Democrats for what they are, shallow with no principals, and let us have a million-man march of the USA. Will Pelosi call that UN - American?

Last Longer than Iraq and Cost More = Afghanistan

Washington Post: Reports that US Military Experts predict that War in Afghanistan will last longer than Iraq and cost more by the end. The Liberal Leaders in Congress are not going to be happy, they want a turn around within a year, they see Afghanistan and Iraq as the mistakes of Bush 43, they don't want to spend money on Defence they want to pander to their election base. If the money is going to Iraq and Afghanistan and will increase in Afghanistan due to the US policy of Nation Building the Liberal Left wont get money for the favourite hobby horses. The incoming Chief of the Defence for the UK has been honest, he has stated that the UK will be in Afghanistan for 40 years. Yes 40 years. As stated in my recent post, that has no chance, Obama wants out of Afghanistan before his re-election bid in 2012, he does not want another Vietnam War on his hands, he does not want to be another LBJ. Thus Generals have about a year to calm Afghanistan down, keep the locals at bay, allow for the Presidential Election in August. The Chicago Fix is in for the election, the present President will win, better the devil you know, its matter of keeping Afghanistan at a low boiling point, at present its gotten very hot, the UK lost 22 Armed Forces Personnel in July, so far this August we have lost 5. The USA is also taking casualties, in July it lost 43 soldiers, this month is also starting to look bad in the war of attrition between the Western Forces and the Taliban/Terrorists. Thus Afghanistan could be the new Vietnam and Obama could be LBJ.

BBC News: Reports that the Taliban in Pakistan are fighting between themselves since the death of Baitullah Mehsud. Thus the drone strike that killed Mehsud has worked on two levels, a threat to Pakistan has been removed and the Taliban are killing themselves, saves a job for the Army of Pakistan and the Western Forces in Afghanistan.
