Four words = Mid Terms in 2022

The Biden Oval will not want to lose CONTROL of either the House and the Senate, if that happens then the Biden Presidency is OVER and his chances of re-election go down the drain.  The American political cycle NEVER ENDS, when an election cycle ends, the interest in the next starts, thus POTUS will want to be seen as a friend of Israel, the Israeli Lobby is very powerful in US politics.  POTUS does not want to be seen as supporting the Palestinians over Israel.  Thus do not expect Biden to pull the plug on Israel, that is not going to happen, he is not that brave, Reagan once did use that as a THREAT, but he was a GREAT PRESIDENT, that is not Biden.

Israel and Gaza - Update - The NEVER ENDING WAR!

Lets Get Real:

The Elite Press in the UK is starting to take sides, the tone has been critical of Israel, this comes from the BBC News and Sky News, the main 24 news channels.  The lack of deaths in Israel is due to the FACT that Israel has the IRON DOME, it can take out most of the rockets launched in Gaza by Hamas.  The Biden Administration is QUIET due to Florida, a lot of older Jews have moved to Florida for the climate and they vote, next year in the 2022 Mid Terms, so POTUS wants to give the impression that he is supporting Israel, as Sky News reported the US has blocked a statement from the UN on the issue.   What POTUS is saying in private is another matter, he is coming under pressure from the extreme LEFT in the Democratic Party who are critical of Israel and in many instances support the Palestinians over ISRAEL.   This cycle of violence has  FEW DAYS TO GO, Israel has to defend its people and limit HAMAS in Gaza and get the towns in Israel who are shared both Jews Israelis and Arab Israelis to go back to being quiet.  Also to keep the West Bank quiet.

Abortion in the US - Who decides?

Lets Get Real:

One hopes that the SUPREME COURT follows past cases and rejects the Mississippi law, the right of  a woman to have an abortion is between her and her Doctor.  Conservative Judges if they are really CONSERVATIVE, will follow the Classical Liberal view, that the role of the Government should be limited, one can argue that the Conservatives who oppose abortion are really LIBERALS, they want to allow the STATES to decide on the nature of abortion.   This blog has always SUPPORTED abortion on demand, its a privacy issue, and who wants to see a baby born who is not wanted and can have a negative results for ALL.   If the Supreme Court does restrict abortion one can expect the LIBERAL Democrats in the US Congress to allow abortion on demand, that will really irk so called Conservatives.   The Supreme Court should leave the issue alone, it has been decided.

Lets Get Real:

The Israeli Government has to finish this problem once and for all, one can not have a gun held to ones head ALL THE TIME.   The Gaza is in the hands of Hamas a terrorist group, that group is seen as a terrorist group by the rest of the World.  Israel has the DUTY AND RIGH to protects its homeland and its citizens.   The operation should be quick, otherwise the West, will get its knickers in twist over the treatment of the Palestinians, the likes of the CNN, BBC News, Guardian, the FCO in the UK is very pro Arab and anti Israel, no matter who is in No 10, will start to be critical of Israel and its military power.  Some problems can never be solved, and the truth is, they should not be solved, there will never be a two State solution, that kind of end would be a THREAT to the State of Israel, life is unfair, that is the way it is. 

Israel - Gaza - Israel defends its homeland from terrorists

Sky News: Reports " On Wednesday Hamas confirmed Israeli reports that one of its senior operatives - the brigade commander for Gaza City - had been killed. Israeli security service Shin Bet said he among 16 military targets who died. "

Lets Get Real:

Israel has the duty and right to defend its homeland from terrorists, the Hamas group in Gaza in a terrorist body, and is seen as such by most of the World.  Israeli Intelligence is one of the best in the World, so they are able to target terrorists in Gaza with more precision than one would have expected.  This latest low level battle will burn it self out after a few days and the sides will go back to their limited Cold War, Israel does not want Gaza, but it also does not want to face the threat of constant terrorism from the place, Israel should really think of clearing HOUSE in Gaza.

Lets Get Real:

The above happens every few years, it has its internal cycle, either side does something that causes the other side to react with arms.  The present crisis deals with attempts by the Israel to evict Arabs from the Capital.   The threat of a full scale WAR is over egged, Israel is the big power in this contest, they could invade Gaza and clear OUT Hamas but it would be very bloody for both sides, give it a few days, and there will be another cease fire, and the West will get its knickers in twist trying to solve a problem that can not be solved and makes the Arabs happy.  This blog is a clear supporter of Israel, it is about time that the Israeli Government cleared Hamas from Gaza, the poor bloody people there deserve some PEACE, that goes for Israel also. 

The FAILURE of Sir Keir Starmer - Labour Reshuffle - Boris Era

BBC News: Reports on the aftermath of Sir Keir Starmer's messy reshuffle, " Sir Keir's critics on the left of the party filled, almost with glee, to push him for a change in direction. "

Lets Get Real:

This is Sir Keir's first reshuffle, and on the face it, one can say that it was messy, and the worse PR and Sir Keir will have to look behind when the Shadow Cabinet shows him no loyalty.  That might also be true of HIS Deputy, who he hung out as a symbol of the failure of Labour to win the important by - election and the losing of hundred of Council Seats.  The Labour Party needs a leader with CHARISMA, very much like Tony Blair in the 1990s.  The problem with Sir Keir is that he has no charisma and acts like PMs Questions as if he is still charge of the prosecution service, he almost expects the Speaker to ACT like a JUDGE, and that is not the role of the Speaker of the House of Commons.   The Labour Party needs a new direction, it needs to renew its relationship with the working class, there will never be enough graduates to vote Labour in to power.  It is not written in stone that the Labour Party has to EXIST.  Sir Keir does not have ALL the time in the World, the Shadow Cabinet or the left wing of the Party could strike and challegen him for the leadership.
