The most important thing is to get our people out, that no one is hurt in the Sudan, if our troops are fired upon they must shoot back, it does not matter who shoots, they must be taken out. This is a risky operation there could be thousands of UK Subjects in the Sudan, the US has been very quiet, is POTUS more worried about his announcement that he is running again for the Oval Office. One hopes the US and the UK are working together and not mounting separate operations. There are risk, but a UK passport should mean something, in the old days of Empire, we would have sent a gunboat up there to tell the people to calm down or face the wrath of the British Navy.
