Thus you find this happening in this 24/7 news cycle, leads that look promising turn out to be false trails. In good investigation takes time, but this is under the glare of TV news, that wants new leads to fill up their air time and the paper press who want to do in depth reports based on scant information. The German Police seem to leak like all public bodies, it does not help the investigation and causes people to have a false picture. People might read one news feed but miss out another, thus not a full picture.
