RCP: The best article of the day, looks at the Gipper in context, one of the greatest Presidents in American History, but not perfect, JFK was also great but not perfect as we all know. As kind readers of the blog know I set Reagan as the gold standard for a President and a Politician, but he was not perfect. Reagan was always looking forward to that " Shinning City on the Hill " that is the USA. Reagan looked to the past to set the future, the present candidates can evoke his name but never be him, there was only one Reagan for USA history as only one Thatcher in the UK. The Republican candidates have to inspire, you wont agree with all their policy views that is not the point you have to trust them and like them, Obama has that, wish he was a Republican.
